Lads, there’s no liquidity at the moment, and that’s pure poison for the space. It’s very grim when you look at it objectively. Believers in crypto talk about progress in the scene, but it seems like very very few of them are whipping out the credit card and actually buying shítcoins with their own real money.

You even have it with that Stellar pump during the week. The price went up based on razor thin real money entering the market. Massively inflationary at the moment. And it pumped based on false info - IBM aren’t putting all their eggs in one basket with lumens, nor are they in advanced talks with central banks.

For the Crypto fanatics: John McAfee claimed he will eat his own penis if Bitcoin doesn't reach a million dollars next year. Is anyone here also willing to put their money where their mouth is?

    Yeah but

    BNB +69%
    Bibox +85%
    Kin +104%
    Huobi +114%
    Qash +117%
    (last 30 days)

In an uncertain, low confidence bear market. That's the problem with crypto, it keeps doing that. In a bull market those can be weekly, even daily numbers

Another one comes out of the wood work to take a "hilarious" pop and then slither back into the dark.

Edit: and for the record our money is already where our mouth, do you understand what cryptocurrencies even are and how they are usually obtained?

What I was asking was how many other people are willing to eat their penises if Bitcoin doesn't hit one million dollars next year.

I'm not, though I would be delighted if it did. I have put my money where my mouth is in terms of buying bitcoin. I am in healthy profit if I wanted to cash in.

    Could I eat somebody else's?
Is it served raw, boiled, grilled or fried?
What kind of sauces or sides available?
I only want a small snack - is yours available?

We can all shítetalk, amazing stuff. Who cares what McAfee says or said? Us? Because we buy crypto and he talks about it? Oh right so... I guess I'll dedicate myself to a penis-only diet like a starving rabbi if Bitcoin DOES hit $1m next year. Balance the equation for you.

Crypto does seem to attract some awful humans though - McAfee, Calvin Ayre, Brock Pierce, Craig Wright etc. Liers, sex criminals, fraudsters, murderers etc.

You post notning of benefit here, ever, just curious what else you don't like and if you post ****e about that aswell?

Very similar to business and politics then, the only difference is the names above broadcast almost everything they do.

From what I can surmise is that it attracts many of a Libertarian bent.

The damage "cryptomining" is doing to the planet is an absolute obscenity and its proponents are architects of environmental degeneracy. The kind of people who would gladly turn a blind eye towards the destruction and extinction of the human species in the pursuit of their magic coins, selling out their own grandchildren for pocket change and refusing to even put their own penises on the line.

Not that again. The majority of cryptomining is done on renewable energy.

You can fill out a shítlist with the dregs of humanity for any given industry.

Finance does seem to attract some awful humans though - Bernie Madoff, Bernie Ebbers, Kenneth Lay, etc. All fraudsters destroying the finances and lives of tens of thousands of innocent people.

Oil does seem to attract some awful humans though - Ziyavudin Magomedov, Yevgeny Prigozhin, etc, embezzlers and extortionists.

Clothing manufacturing does seem to attract some awful humans though - Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren all the CEOs for pretty much every department store, etc. Happily enslaving children.

The recording industry does seem to attract some awful humans though - Sid Vicious, Gary Glitter, Varg Vikernes, etc. Murderers and paedophiles

I’m not involved in crypto, and think the entire space is morally repugnant. Proof of work is a grotesque idea, and the only usecase for crypto after 10 years of the thing was when it was used by people to buy drugs and child porn on the dark web. Unless you consider speculating on the price to be a use case. It’s terrible as a currency, is complex and difficult to use, the space is rife with criminals, conmen, and fools, and it’s an environmental disaster. It’s the very worst of humanity coming together in an almost perfect storm.

Crypto is used by Venezuelans as an immensely viable means for them to store and transfer value. https://www.bbc.com/news/business-47553048

It's also being used in Africa by people who don't have bank accounts to receive remittances to, from relatives working in Europe.

You are as one eyed as a cyclops.

If you're talking about me, I have been subscribed to this thread for months and have posted in it previously. I understand that's it's mostly considered a bit of a sanctuary for the cryptofanatics but I also believe it's a place for some discussion.

Asking people if they'll eat their own dick if BTC reaches a million is not discussion

    What discussion is that?

It's pretty obvious some purely join these threads to bait people who they perceive are "cryptofanatics"
