Never seen Brooklyn nine nine, is it worth watching

Definitely. Takes a while to get the characters settled, it's a little clichéd to start but then it's very funny and has genuinely profound moments along the way

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is extremely rough at the start, and TBH I dropped it halfway through season 1 because of it. Came back to it mostly 'cos of the goodwill behind it (and the desire for some 20 minute shows to nibble).

It's telling that one big source of jokes - Boyle's infatuation with Rosa - is effectively never spoken of again, because it was 'effin dreadful

It definitely is a bit lackluster and all over the place to start but it gets much much better

(also the title of my sex tape)

B99 is very good, the best example of American comedy at its best. After life is alright too. Very watchable

I thought it was quite good how they dealt with that. There was an episode where they acknowledged how creepy he was being and how uncomfortable his behaviour made Rosa and they both moved on from it.
I often wonder if the writers set that up deliberately from the start to make that point, or if it was just a case of them realising that the "nerdy guy obsessed with woman way out of his league eventually wears her down" trope was past it's sell by date and really quite damaging.

Either way, it certainly needed to be dropped and I loved that they acknowledged it.

I could watch basically anything with Andy Samberg in it. Wouldn't shock me to see some quality serious roles down the road for him.

Much as I love B99 it definitely goes through slumps. Overall, it does get better with time. Definitely worth watching but binging it can spoil the fun a bit.

I watched season 5 in less than a day and a half, can't remember half of it

Started into Suburra, about 4 episodes in, and watched the film first(a little sorry I didn't leave that til last, even though it was out 2 years before the series). It's really good. I don't think it's gonna surpass Gomorrah, but it's like a slightly better Love/Hate which ain't bad at all.

Going back through the thread i cannot remember who recommended Suburra , but thanks so much. It was just brilliant !! 10/10.
The two main characters were fantastic ( Giacomo Ferrara as Spadino ) and ( Alessandro Borghi as Auriliano )

    Roll on season 3.

Suburra v Gomorrah I think Gomorrah might have the edge but both are excellent. Gomorrah back on soon I thinkðŸ˜

Really liked Walk, Ride, Rodeo. Predictable but feel good especially if you like horses.

Oh no. Just when I was getting out of my habit of singing "oh the weather outside is weather" on an hourly basis. This will make me relapse

    Been waiting for this one!

I've been watching the latest season of Homeland. Really good so far (4 eps in). The show took a dip in form for a couple of seasons but has come back really strong.

After Life is also brilliant so far.

Anyone know if Underbelly, the Australian crime/gangland series has ever been on Netflix in Ireland?? Have only ever seen The 1st season and it was excellent, up there with the likes of Narcos. And I’ve heard the other seasons are even better, and the story/scene changes on each season. Wish I could watch the other seasons.

I'm pretty sure it was there a couple of years ago

Did anyone watch The Dawn Wall ?

Two free climbers taking on the challenge of climbing Yosemites most formidable rock formation .

I loved it , what free climbers do is crazy in my eyes , but their determination and guts is amazing . Worth a watch imo .

I thought it was a bit underwhelming how if they fell off they got to start again at that point instead of starting over. I mean surely you would want to climb it straight from bottom to top without falling off. I really enjoyed it though.

Behind the curve is a good watch, it's about people who believe the earth is flat, I'm actually astounded at how many people believe this, they offer zero proof in this doc though but at the same time it makes you yourself actually question it if even only for a few seconds till you realise that no it can't be, it's an amusing watch all the same, is the earth really a globe though?? lol!!

How Homeland came back from the brink is incredible. Seasons 3 to 5 were pretty poor, but it got so much better in 6 and the last two seasons were exceptional. Rare to see a show pull out of a tailspin like that.

    Only 7 seasons aired, right?

    Season 7 in february 2018
No episodes scheduled in the next 5 weeks so i suppose season 8 will be an october start again.
