Fobbed me off with crap telling me it was sold out. Typical button pusher who just wanted 5 o clock to come so she could f off home and not doing any work. Bulling so I am.

Likewise looking for confirmation of box office location, aviva website says van at corner of landsdowne and northumberland roads but would love to hear from somebody that’s been already.

Not much point as game would have been sold out from their perspective and tickets could have come from returns possibly

Anybody know the box office location/times tomorrow?

The van is on the corner of Northumberland Rd and Lansdowne Rd. It should be open by 14:00 for Ticketmaster ticket collections only.

Any other Ticketmaster issues and you should go to the hatch next to turnstile Q (open about the same time).

There might be another box office at turnstiles D/E/F at the end of Lansdowne Lane but can't confirm that until tomorrow.

If you are collecting tickets give yourself plenty of time as it can take up to 15 mins for a newly printed ticket to work in the turnstiles.

I did hospitality for the Wales game last year and it was €550

They were around 950-1150 for today as we looked at them in work, although you could probably have scraped 100 off that had they been purchased back in September.

First time in 10 years that I haven’t been able to secure a home match ticket for the 6 Nations. Lots of friends & work colleagues in the same boat.

Lads, I've a buddy who has two box seat tickets for the upcoming Ireland v England six nations game. They are valued at €500 each. He bought them last year and didn't realise that his wedding was on the same day. Anyway he wants to know if anyone wants to take his place. It's in ballybrack church this Saturday and her name is siobhan

Well, ended up with a strange one ourselves with two tickets we got for Saturday through the Supporters Club ballot.

Basically, one of the tickets was for a seat that doesn’t exist.

They were for Block 131 (diagonally behind the corner of the pitch, at the Havelock Square/West Stand corner). Row M, seats 9 and 10.

We find Block 131 okay, go up to Row M, and then start counting seats in from the steps – they start at 15, then go 14 – 13 – 12 – 11 – 10, as you’d expect. My wife sits down in number 10. I then realise that the next one along is number 20, and after that, they go 19 – 18 – 17 – etc. There’s no number 9.

We double and even triple check that we’re in the correct Block and Row, and we definitely are. Then I go looking even further in both directions for a seat number 9, and there’s none to be found anywhere. And by that stage, I’ve very definitely wandered into Block 132 at one side, and Block 130 at the other.

I go to one of the stewards, he does the same look around, and is equally baffled. Then he calls another steward, and he can’t figure it out either.

They tell me to just take the next seat along from my wife (which is basically Block 130, seat 20 – not what my ticket is for), and they’ll deal with it if somebody else comes along with a ticket for that seat. I say that’s very likely to happen considering the match is a sell-out, and what will they do then? They say they’ll probably have to send us up to Premium, ‘where there’s always space’.

This sounds good to us and we’re half hoping somebody comes along sooner rather than later (!)…but nobody ever does. And the seat 19 beside me ends up being taken by some young lad who arrives 10 minutes into the game and asks ‘is there anybody sitting there?’ – leading me to believe that nobody had a real ticket for that seat either, and he’s just managed to blag his way in somehow and got lucky in searching for an empty seat.

Apologies for long post but this really was a strange one and I thought it was a story worth telling…..

    That is so bizarre.

How a ticket can relate to a nonexistent seat is baffling...

That's a really odd one. Guess there was no seats 8 to 1 either. Maybe a glitch on TM's end? Might be worth following up with them or IRFU supporters club just to make them aware.

Supporters Club policy these days is "well that's the way we have decided to do it in the interests of fairness to all supporters club members due to overwhelming demand" so they'll probably use that here too :)

Yeah, I've just mailed the general ticketqueries@irishrugby.ie address, to make them aware of it. I say in it that I don't know if it's a matter for themselves or Ticketmaster or maybe even somebody else, but they can pass it on as they might need to anyway.

Will post here again if I hear anything back.

Tickets for the Wales match arrived today in a very discreet envelope which had to be signed for. Complete contrast to getting tickets from ticketmaster in a visible to all envelope.

Yeah, I can never understand that. My England ticket was in the envelope in such a way that you could clearly see "Guinness Six Nations"

When I buy tickets, I want them to be delivered as discreetly as my hardcore dungeon porn.

Good luck in getting a response, my experience is that if they don't like the query they simply ignore you.

well lads, any reason why the irish supporters club forum is still closed ?
is Barry Cunningham still the manager ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,104 ✭✭✭PMC83

I think the consensus was that most of the banter had left for FB, and places like this. Which was true enough tbf, aside from a few weeks of the year there wasn't much action on it

I'd say they closed it in advance of the plan to introduce the ballot for Six Nations tickets .
They knew that people would be up in arms so they closed the forum to avoid the furore.

Got a single ticket on Ticketmaster on Friday at 3pm.
Got the usual "it's not you" and the "phantom ticket" but ended up ringing T/M in the UK and got sorted.
Had to collect it outside the ground as T/M Ireland didn't email it to me.
Walked up to T/M booth on corner, gave her the booking reference number and she handed over the ticket, no ID or card required.

Dont be surprised if some French tickets come available (maybe not on TM) but if you have contacts - wont have the same event junkie appeal now :(

You need to login first to see prices and add to basket.
