Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What went on with MDMA, my Irish sadly isn't up to following it?

Same as that, not a clue.

Got two digs, one in the snot. Blood sub, then Monaghan sideline threw a conniption when he came back on when McDaid who came on for him was black carded. MDM thought he was going back on.

McCarron is some boy. Knees someone in the head and then dives holding his fkn face when pushed by Fenton.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,140 ✭✭✭snailsong

He got substituted. Possibly blood. His replacement got a black card. Dublin stuck MDM back on. Had to be pointed out to the ref. As far as I can make out.

The lad (mcdaid, I think) who was a temporary blood sub for McCauley got a black card and was put off. Then the dubs brought McCauley back on bringing them up to 15 when they should have been down to 14. So McCauley had to go off again.

    Cheers.

Yeah that was a sneaky dirty one from McCarron. Doubt we'll see the same uproar as we've had all day about Donie Smith though somehow.

In fairness the ref has enough to be doing, sideline should be watching that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,223 ✭✭✭✭RMAOK

The ref has been changed for the second half - Hughes from Armagh, I think.

Coldrick did look to be struggling from early on.

Dubs back to 15. Hard to see Monaghan staying with them now.

Well worked. Would that have counted as a third handpass?

Actually yeah, under the experimental rule that's not in anymore, that goal mightn't have stood

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,624 ✭✭✭theoneeyedman

Re:the comments on the Monaghan goal and the 3 handpasses, so best if it was. No skill in palming a ball to.ghe net from 3 yards, in that case the forward no 25 would have to sidestep the goalie and kick the ball (remember when players did that?).

Golderick was a huge loss to the Dubs at halftime, Paidie Hughes not having the same impact 🙄

Another bit of proof why the experiment is better dead.

Nice to see Cooper get flattened for a change.

Good mark for monaghan's last point.

    Good win for Monaghan.

  • Registered Users Posts: 570 ✭✭✭Buddy97mm

Well done Monaghan, thought they used the mark very well and maybe showed Dublin vulnerable to that.

You mean there free that was a free for a frontal challenge.

    Good win for Monaghan.

No i mean a chap goes down holding his face, which wasn't touched? Monaghan with quite a few similar dives today..but deserved the win regardless.

Dive? Give your head a shake there. There was nothing in it but it was hardly a dive.

Two lads acting the hard man and one went down. Nothing to see, move on.

McManus fortuanate too not receive a black card.

This should really be the championship though, imagine these games in spring/summer.

Is there any possible way of removing the power of provincial councils?

Cooper was partaking in sledging, holding off the ball ie. as he usually does. He then tries to trip McManus. Of course, McManus was having none of it and sent Cooper flying. :D

You obviously didn't watch the match. It'll take a lot to defeat this in funniest moment of the season! :D

A trip is trip, punishable by a black card. Lucky man.

    Clearly, Cooper was lucky also:

'Threaten or to use abusive or provocative language or gestures to an opponent or a teammate.'

I think McManus dumping him on his arse was punishment enough for Cooper though. :D

Because Mayo, the shining white knights of football. There hasn't been an utterance today about him throwing the head back at Smith.

The same as a Mayo player throwing the head, a Dublin player getting kicked in the head is grand with the 99.9% of the media who push this stuff.

I'd condemn and believe any attempted head butt should be sanctioned but still fail to see what that has to do with your post?Higgins should not have retaliated that the main focus is rightly on the instigator.

No it's not grand that any Dublin player gets a knee in the head.I don't know where you are getting that idea.

Watch the usual talking heads tomorrow and see how many times it's mentioned compared to how many times the eye gouge was mentioned today and come back to me. It's all about who it happened to rather than what happened.

Cry me a river. Eir Sport completely brushed over the eye gouge thing last night. A few mayo fans were rightly annoyed on Twitter but I haven't seen any of the main pundits say anything.

McCarron should have seen red today as Smith should have last night.

I can't recall now but yeah if he was booked then he's in the clear.
