Sounds like Andy Moran will be starting instead of one of the debut forwards tonight.

Can’t understand a dummy team being named for first round of league

Often it's simply a case of putting a team in so program can get printed.

That rumour started on a Rossie fan page

    What happensd?

Blatant eye gouge on Higgins. Then took a dive when higgins never touched him.

    Ref booked the wrong man.

Donie S had his had in Higgins face, and finger in the eye, when he was on the ground.
Higgins stood up and turned around AT&T didn't touch him which thankfully the linesmen saw.
Enda S got the card by mistake

Rossies haven't capitalised with the wind. Fancy Mayo to get a few goals in the second half.

Disgusting action by Smith and fell to the ground himself after, deserves a serious ban

Higgins threw the head at him, didn't make good contact, but am attempted headbutt at the same time.

Ah I sincerely don't think, squared up AT&T didn't cock the head at all

Ah will ya stop! I'm not sugar coating mayo player but you must have seen an angle I've yet to see.

Ah now, I have only one eye, but I'm not as one eyed as that comment FFS.

A ban for both I'd say. Higgins definitely tried to headbutt him, but totally understandable. Awful from Smith. Hope he doesn't see the pitch till the summer.

I'm happy to call out any players bad actions and don't like when people can't see in fault in their team, but I didn't see anything there.

With my two good eyes :-P

Both lucky not to see the line.

Its a dire match so far, I think the hand pass should be banned entirely.

In fairness gale force winds and rain are probably not helping matters.

    An important win

The Rossies are surely certainties for relegation , they were hopeless I'm afraid. Would help if Galway beat Cavan tomorrow

Good to get the win. Hard to know what to make of it given the awful conditions. Still some bad errors and FB line looked extremely shaky. Both Andy and Higgins looked their age out there, but boyler was imperious as ever save for a few silly frees.

Main positive was reape in the second half. Hopefully he can answer a lot of our attacking deficiencies. Diskin looked lively and worked very hard but on that showing seems a bit raw for the top level, but worth another look next week

Don't think Boland will be a happy camper, taking off a forward at HT after playing into a huge gale was very premature I thought

Very important as Roscommon and Cavan are likely relegation candidates.Especially when Mayo have both at home.

Bit harsh taking off a forward at h/t when playing into a gale. Not going to do the young lad`s confidence much good.

Cavan will be relegated and probably roscommon as well.

I’d say favorites to go down in order are
    Cavan
    Roscommon
    Galway
    Mayo
    Monaghan

A poor enough Roscommon team out it up to mayo for long spells.

Mayo don’t look fit yet but they’ll get a lot better and terrible conditions like that don’t suit good football.

Roscommon’s defence looks a lot more organized and it’s nice to see a bit of dog in them.
Harrying, closing down and lots of turnovers.
They look fit - I just hope they don’t peak too early in the year

Two very important points, bottom line.

Having said that, the concession of late majors is a worry.

Well done Mayo, wins a win in those conditions.

That was a tough watch....fair balls to the crowd for a) turning up and b) staying for match.

A win is a win either way, the workout will stand to them in the coming weeks and months
