This thread is making me laugh and cringe simultaneously. Some posters remind me of a young chap I met a year ago who upon finding himself in the back of a car with me on an unexpected journey proceeded to launch into an animated, graphic and highly detailed confidence about his unsatisfactory sex life with his selfish boyfriend. I have no clue what he thought I could bring to the discussion, mostly nodding and ahahs as it happened, though he seemed relieved at journey's end and I had learned rather a lot more about the lives of others than I intended to ever know.
