chips beans and jumbo sausages here, could not be arsed to put on a proper dinner even though theres steak in the fridge.will have the steak tomorrow for dinner with potatoes vrg and a nice sauce.

Chips, beans and jumbo sausages is a mighty dinner! Batch bread on the side and I'm in heaven, along with a big glass of milk.

You have underestimated a "proper dinner".:D

    Cooked breakfast; sign of illness...lol..

While on a food thread.... I was in town a while ago and arrived at my favourite charity shop as an Order of Malta mi nibus was disembarking old folk. This is the Meals on Wheels place and they have lunch there also for old folk... Lady INSISTED I join them and a really good meal. Bacon, cabbage, white sauce etc, soup and a pudding.... First time I have had a meal cooked for me for many years.

So now if I am in town on a day when they serve lunch I call in and they set a place for me... Wonderful town!

Aldi have the new peanut butter in. It's really runny and oily. A dollop of that over a chocolate rice cake with a small dollop of raspberry jam on top too. Absolutely delicious and nutritious

I'm too anxious to eat properly most of the time at the moment.

It's so hard to explain because I don't even understand it myself.

Cooked tonight but not for myself. A pasta dish for Mrs G with buttered crusty roll and chicken fillet, mash and gravy for lil G. My last day off for a while so its a few pints and a manky takeaway for me. Back on the road for a few weeks then shutdown for winter.

For the Cork gang here, I had some dinner in the Island Gate today. Its near little Island. I'm nearly certain I had a meal here circa 1980 with my Dad when he was down working in what was then Little Island industrial estate. A pub restaurant. Nothing fancy, but the roast chicken and ham with the trimmings was a throw back in time. Loved it.
