    I backed Casey the other day, €5 @ 33/1 outright, and €5 @ 9/4 without Higgins.

    Yes to referendum
    Spoiled election

Was going to to spoil the Presidential vote but instead I went #1 Freeman solely for Pieta house, then Ni Riada, Casey, Duffy, Gallagher with the intention to remove Higgins - not that I expect that to happen.

Gave God one in the eye in blasphemy.

I just realised i put an x on my vote for president. Will that spoil it? I only voted for one. No second preference

You have shown a clear preference as to whom you voted for. It will be counted.

    I voted Casey 1, Micky D 2

On one of the debates all (except Casey) candidates, when asked, said that they would gave no problem or would welcome a traveller site near their residence. On hearing such insincerity I decided to vote no 1 Casey and did so today.

Michael D Higgins answered that question honestly - it just wasn't the answer you wanted to hear.

The current president looked down a camera to the country and blatantly lied to us.

But at least he pays his taxes!
People are honestly voting for a man, his wages are paid by our taxes, knowing he doesn't pay a cent here, because he said some truths about travellers??

    Jesus wept

The rich man said a thing I agreed with, so I'm voting for him.

    Yes in referendum
#1 to Joan Freeman, but I gave everyone a preference, except Ms. Sinn Fein and Duffy. Gave Michael D. lowest preference as I know the transfer wouldn't be counted otherwise.
Now you know how Peter Casey felt.

In fairness to seamus his posts in this thread were totally fine, even if his position of throwing his toys out of pram because the majority of people in the immediate vicinity don't agree with him is unfortunate.

I can't help thinking though that his profile picture would tend to make people subconsciously read his posts in a somewhat condescending voice.

    Referendum: No

MDH # 1 and Liadh Ní Riada #2 as the only other credible politically experienced candidate (even though I’m not a SF fan in general)

    Yes to remove blasphemy.

I have €10 at 300/1 Casey, not that I can see it happening but worth it all the same!

To say I am underwhelmed by the choice in candidates is being diplomatic, surprised myself that I didn't spoil my vote tbh. I heard earlier the turnout was very low, got me wondering. I know the scariest thing you can say to a politician in a GE is tell them their seat is "safe".

If Higgins is put out I'll be happy with that, not saying I'll be happy with any of the others going in 😂

If Casey pulls this off I can actually picture some Journos heads actually exploding. The Sunday paper reviews the weekend will be great radio.

Voted MDH, without any enthusiasm, as the best of a bad bad bunch. No other preferences. Yes in the referendum.

Tough choice for me tbh. Ended up with MDH #1 and PC at #2, purely based on the role at hand. Different story were it governmental elections.

    No for the referendum
