    John Hayes Ligind
Munster obviously have the capability to score tries but we've seen a couple of times in recent seasons now (against Saracens for example, Leinster a couple of times, Racing while the game was a contest) that when Stander and the other carriers in the pack get shut down then the team struggles to create anything through the backline. It's at the sharp end of the competitions though against the better teams where it's an issue.

Scannell, Arnold, Farrell, Taute and Goggin.
Is this Munsters best ever lineup of centre's in professional era? (Once Farrell and Taute get back fit)

Obviously there's been better individual centres before (Tipoki, Halstead, De Villiers) but the quality the current lineup is very even throughout I think?

    Nuts from archer, completely unwarranted

Goggin looked in a very bad way at full time. Was holding his knee and had physios surrounding him.

Yep, both TOD and Goggin out for quite a while it seems... Marshall hurt his ankle, hopefully only a week or 2 though.

Joking aside but if Connors hadn't have gotten injured at the start of the season I'd have said him or Dorris heading south would be a win win given today's injury news.

Dave Kelly on Twitter says Marshall has a serious upper leg injury. Hamstring perhaps?

That's a pretty bad injury list from a game like that.

In my opinion if any province has 3 players for 1 position and other provinces are struggling in that position then 1 of them should move on

The way the game has gone 3 injuries from a match isn't that surprising, all pansies I suppose

Awful for ToD. Didn't he break his leg just before the 15 world cup? Goggin will be out for some time too be the sounds of it.

There are capable replacements for both but Munster at restarting to look thin at 7 and 13.

I think that was a hip dislocation

Yeah our props are fair penalty machines. And stupid penalties at that. Archer twice this year and Cronin last week with a few brain farts

Exeter lost to a 14 man Castres, so that makes things really really interesting.

Pretty happy we've Castres at home first in the head-to-head games.

It's very significant that Munster get Castres to Limerick first. A win there (as expected) and Castres will be disinterested to an extent. If Munster had to go out there first of all, it would be a very different kettle of fish.

Exeter have come up short yet again. No wins from the opening rounds; they're a really good side to watch and have come very far but they're miles from being in contention in Europe still. They lack the top end class in their squad.

I can now see Munster finishing on 22/23 points which should be enough for a home semi final.

    I don't think we'll see him until 2019.

I hope Conor Oliver can get back on the field as he would get opportunities behind Cloete.

Did his ACL in the Pro14 semi final in the RDS. Your looking at 2019 before we see him back.

a BP win is always fantastic but we need a better performance if we want too go further. This group is very hard tbh

so todays squad may not play together again til Dec as the internationals will now turn there attention too Irish matters

    Sat 27th Oct- Glasgow (H)
Sun 5th Nov- Cheetahs (A)- Ireland play Italy in the USA on the 4th Nov. Not bad choice for some of the players that weekend South Africa or the USA
Mid season break then for the other Ireland games with Munster returning to action on the 25th Nov away to Zebre

TOD is a big loss. I know people love Cloete but when he's not effective at the breakdown I feel he's a bit anonymous. He's not a great tackler or carrier and he's ineffective at line out. Exeter shut him down and it was quite obvious Tod was far more effective when he came on.
