You'd get an Irish one for the same money as that by them time it's cleared, that particular one wouldn't be worth traveling for.

Agreed was only a quick post.

Spotted 2 in UK better value last week.

Would need to keep a look out a while for the right one. Quick look at dd gives me a guy who puts 180km the says miles in the ad and a guy who misspelled quattro

Didn’t think the VRT would be that high, don’t need to be that financially committed to something when it will be flipped in 2019.

Two bits of news. For the odd week that I don't have a car to video, I bought a 2007 E90 325i SE for €2,000 this morning. Hoping to flip it for at least that when I sell it on next year.

Other bit of news is I drove said 325 to the Alfa dealer and left it in the yard so I could take this for a week! :D

Looks really lovely. I saw a few on the road and they look very nice to me, and I'm not a fan of SUVs at all generally.

Watched a review on one the other day, seemingly you can't put a hitch on them due to the way the exhaust is routed.

JESUS MY EYES!!!! That is some amount of red in that car!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,834 ✭✭✭carsfan2

I think if just the seats and door cards were red that would be enough. The dash and transmission tunnel is too much.
Would be interested in what the overall quality is like.
    Is it diesel or petrol?

It's petrol according to the reg.

280bhp petrol 2.0L. It has Alfa quirks, put it that way :)

Had to jumpstart it this morning? *Runs for cover

No but for example, the paddles are so bloody big, they make it hard for your hands to get to the indicator and wiper stalks!!

What’s the retail price on that Markn?
    How are the interior plastics?
I looked at a guilia in the showroom and the interior was not of high quality feel.
    Edit.
Just looked at Carzone. It’s up for 50k as a one year old car. Not cheap.

The long paddles to make it easy to grab a gear as you power slide your Ferrari out of a corner.

It's a nice looking wagon, but as others have said, all that red is too much. Seats maybe, but you don't want to be looking at that every day on the dash!

lol at the Alfa quirks.... can't fit a towbar on an SUV. That seems like a fairly basic design error.

So long as you can fit a tow eye to the front.....

I owned an alfa and it never failed to start and never failed me on the road but saying that it knew it's own way to the alfa parts department in the end.

Sweet jebus, my eyes. You could murder someone in that and wouldn't even have to bother cleaning it afterwards.

Speaking of blood, the seats are more of a blood colour, the Canon lens I used for those pics really loves the colour red so makes it pop slightly more than real life.

Like BMW oxblood leather. It looks like crayola bright red in pics but in reality it's a tinted red which is actually quite nice.

Nobby just popped up as a notification for me on my phone. Wasn't a subscriber.
That auto park is something I want on my next car, the Volvo doesn't have it and they want 2k to add it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,529 ✭✭✭MarkN

    A nice bus, for the money though in early 2019 that’s a G30 530d.

The more I’m driving other stuff though I actually dunno if I’ll go BMW again.

Care to elaborate on your last statement?
I strayed from BMW for a golf gti and came back and find it hard to look beyond them.
Just something about the way they drive. I know they depreciate like stones but what doesn't?

Well I say this in the same way I went and bought a cheap BMW last week but I suppose I’ll be open minded when it comes to whatever I buy, a MK8 GTI would be something I’d consider, I’ve the new model A6 to drive in a couple of months, again something I’d look at. Sometimes I wonder would a new Fiesta ST be fun for a few years, I guess I’m just thinking out loud but in the past I’ve always known what I wanted, now not so much.

Do you know what's a beefy looking small car the 2 series, spotted a 18 one in Limerick the other day, it's ripped, bulging bonnet. It looks downright aggressive in grey. Reminded me a little of Eleanor just missing the black stripes.
It'll be intresting to see what the gran coupe looks like in the flesh.

The M2 would be unreal. Drove one a few weeks ago and it was great fun.
