    Stander Up and Fight
Have just tried my eir app in Germany...it's not geolocked, will be able to keep an eye on the game.

I don't think Duncan will be the winning or losing of this game..
If the front 5 can dominate...we can win, if not...a losing bp is the best we can hope for

Yup. But don't wet conditions help our chances with this?
I'm optimistic I have to say. I think we'll be well up for this.

Last week's match in the Aviva would have been a great prep. A good set piece will be crucial today.

When it comes to Williams it reminds me of when Grandpa Simpson went to see Homer do gymnastics in The Simpsons. Homer's doing brilliantly and then makes a small mistake to which Grandpa says "I knew you'd mess it up".

He is always viewed through a negative prism, very unfairly too.

About half an hour at 12 according to a report I found. Johnston had a great game at 10 by all accounts and played the full 80.

This is becoming a bit of a pattern from what I hear. Brilliant.

Well now we have a problem. Johnston is probably fifth choice, behind four fit players, with no B games left in the year, and only one of them likely to be an Ireland call up.

If Keatley can find a club I would release him. He's far too good to be 4th choice.

Doesn't need to be said but he is probably paid too much to be 4th choice too. Releasing him would free up some valuable budget space.

Sounds silly but I'd love to see him stay in Ireland if possible, I think he'd be the perfect option for injury cover at any of the provinces if someone was to get injured.

Keatley is a good oh. Jj is not. Jj should be released.

The fact is that JJ is ahead of him and does offer more versatility.

Gloucester are going to get a mauling in Thomond next weekend, could be similar to Friday night if Munster show up with the intensity they did yesterday and Gloucester play like this again.

Would like to have seen them deny castres the BP, Exeter should beat them next week, and that’s their European season over, makes the B2B games easier for Munster

    JJ same.
    They have the same versatility.
Keatley is probably better overall, but JJ is probably worth sticking with, he has years ahead of him to develop into a better player.

I think he would be best off going back to Connacht for a 2 year contract and play a supporting role for Carty.

I think Johnston should move mid season to Leinster. There'll be some gametime for him and Frawley to share and if someone ahead picks up an injury then there could be quite a lot. Plus, he gets sexton and Dr Phil to learn off.

    You forgetting about Harry Byrne?

JJ is 26. Years to turn into what though? How much more do you wait?

He shouldnt and wont. Leinster have Byrnes and Frawley for game time.

Well, at the very least, JJ is no worse than Keatley. and so if we had to choose i'd pick JJ as he'll be around longer. And he's plenty good enough to be behind Joey.

I'm not knocking Keatley. He's had a solid club option and deserved his caps when he got them.

I suppose we really need to know what the story is with Tyler before we can decide who'll be kept.

Keats will be 32 at the end of this year. He's a handy option to have around no doubt, but if it's a choice between him and others then it makes sense to let him go elsewhere at this point. He's never going to be the guy again and if there's other options available let him find a starting job in the UK or wherever to maximize the remainder of his pro career.

Keith Earls to have scan on hamstring injury.
Sam Arnold to see specialist on throat injury.
Alby Mathewson could return to training tomorrow.

Does he really? Keatley has shown up well at both 12 and 15 for Munster in the past. He is every bit as versatile. The only thing JJ really has on him is age profile.

True, I didn't think of Keatley's history though iirc he was moved around more in his Connacht days.

Keith Earls was withdrawn from the Munster squad prior to kick-off at Sandy Park with an injury to his hamstring – he will undergo a scan today to assess the injury and determine treatment.

Sammy Arnold suffered a throat injury and was observed overnight in hospital. He has been discharged and will be assessed by the medical department to determine availability for this weekend.

John Ryan suffered an ankle injury during the game. He will be assessed by the medical department and undergo treatment this week to determine availability for this weekend.

Dave O’Callaghan suffered a foot injury during the Munster A game and will be seen by a specialist to determine his further treatment.

The following are progressing with rehabilitation: Liam O’Connor (knee), Conor Oliver (toe), Jack O’Donoghue (knee), Conor Murray (neck), James Hart (knee), Alby Mathewson (knee), Chris Farrell (knee), Ronan O’Mahony (ankle), Calvin Nash (ankle).

Throat injury and observation doesn't sound great. It's an area that can be delicate and have ramifications if not treated carefully.

I'm surprised there aren't more issues in rugby - I've seen and heard of a few bad ones in hurling.

Somebody close to me had a similar injury. Told by specialist that under no circumstances could they partake in any contact sport as death would be a very likely outcome of another similar injury until they recovered fully.

Poor Sammy's injury escalated very quickly!

You may think it's innocuous, but it's an incredibly delicate part of the anatomy. Which if hit hard enough can cause suffocation and death. But that's just the far end of the scale. Loss of speech and long term breathing difficulties can also result.
