Arnold being eligible for England adds to his value over there too. I really hope Munster can get a deal done, he's still got years to develop.

A lot could depend on how Ulster go this season. If they're moving in the right direction, I'd imagine they'll definitely be trying to entice him home. Darren Cave is into his thirties and isn't the player he was. After that, they don't really have a glut of options at centre. McCloskey and Luke Marshall along with guys who can play centre like Addison and Ludik. I would say Arnold could move there and be fairly certain of a starting spot.

Munster will have a fight on their hands to retain their talent there. They also don't have the lure of playing for your home province aside from Goggin and Scannell.

I see Arnold kicking on at Munster, I love his attitude and he's still young. His basics are superb; His acceleration still surprises me. He just needs to add a little guile to his attacking game, which I think he'll do over the season.

I see this guy as a future International.

Arnold is under contract until 2020 in any case.

Indo reporting that Scannell and Goggin will start at centre, with Haley also set to feature.

I think this is the right call based on the performances so far this season.

That's an interesting call. Would seem the writing is on the wall for Taute's Munster career possibly? Wouldn't make much sense for Munster to retain a NIQ player who would be on a decent wedge and isn't making the team.

Munster are going to possibly be in a Leinster-esque backrow situation with their centres. They've a glut of them who are all very good and it's going to be near impossible to keep them all happy. I'd imagine Farrell will be back into the side upon his return (assuming he hits form/fitness) but Sam Arnold is someone that could be looking at his options this time next year if he's failing to get into the European sides.

Is Taute's contract up this summer?
He's only just back from a long term injury, he'll get another shot there just needs to be ready. The competition for places seems to really push them all on, what a place to be in.

Yup, finished in 2019. Even if he hits solid levels of performance, I'm not sure there's much logic in retaining him unless he undoubtedly stands out as the best centre available. He takes up a valuable NIQ spot. As a capped Springbok, he's not here for the good of his health and will be commanding a relatively decent salary.

That's money and a NIQ spot that could be put to much better use in an area where Munster don't have great depth or future prospects such as prop or scrumhalf. I could even see another lock being a consideration.

Have to say my player of the season so far has to be Dan Goggin he's just had a great run of games has looked good with ball in hand but standout for me has been the quality of his defence serious hits and quick recovery.

Not a bad call, but mine would be the oft forgotten TOD or Archer.

POM's been at the scrum trick for a while :D

Hard to believe it was missed for so long, especially with all the cameras at games and analysis done.

You'd think Marcus Horan would have been having a bleat about that in his analysis cave. Oh wait... :D

Tadhg Furlong doesn't need that kind of support. ;)

Replacements: Rhys Marshall, James Cronin, John Ryan, Billy Holland, Tommy O’Donnell, Neil Cronin, JJ Hanrahan, Sammy Arnold.

Good team. Darren Sweetnam will be very disappointed. I thought he had been playing excellently, certainly better than Haley. He's unlucky not to get the nod for the 23 jersey too. Hanrahan obviously covering full back. Keatley unlucky to be left out completely too.

I think Cloete is the man for this job as well as TOD has bee going. Exeter are dogs up front and this is a game for Cloete's madness.

Really think if we can get a losing bonus point and restrict Exeter from getting a try bonus point, that'd be a decent return.

That's fair enough so, for some reason I thought he was 2020.
But if Goggin can maintain his performances then you'd wish him well.
That try and celebration in the Glasgow game will live on.

A LBP would be a solid result right now. Exeter losing Simmonds and Hill from their pack in the last couple of weeks is a big blow, though. Arguably their two best forwards from last season.

I think the LBP is very much achievable.

Taute seems more of a 12 for me, would like to see him get some games there when we've our internationals away

Scannell or Arnold are unlikely to feature tho, but possibly against USA. Otherwise, would they be returned to play Pro14?

Possibly. Did he leg bind every scrum or only when he was on the TH side?

You'll be grand in Dublin. I'm due to fly out of Knock....... Crossing everything at the minute that it's blown over by lunchtime on Friday.

And the flight was cancelled...... Beautiful weather in Knock, not so much in Bristol. Fcuk you Callum.

If memory serves Itoje does something similar from time to time - you would see him biding directly to the prop/hooker rather than the prop/sr

i dont think he has been great at all - earls, sweetnam and conway is a better back 3.

Unfortuantely having any chance today resides on Williams playing out of his skin. This level is too much for him.

Have just tried my eir app in Germany...it's not geolocked, will be able to keep an eye on the game.

I don't think Duncan will be the winning or losing of this game..
If the front 5 can dominate...we can win, if not...a losing bp is the best we can hope for
