Random query, but does anyone know who Ken was talking about when he did that Big Brother spoof: " He loved Brendan Rogers.":P

Himself I think. It was after Liverpool won all those games in 2013/14 and Ken was admitting Rodgers wasn't awful.

I'm pretty sure it was just himself? From what I remember he was slagging Rodgers a bit that season but then it looked like they might win the league so he did the 1984 rip off.

I must say Ken's oven glove analogy was the funniest thing on the podcast in a while. It's not often it makes you burst out laughing while listening in the car on your own!

Fairly stung the ears when listening on the headphones!

What's the guitar-based track at the start of the Monday football podcast?

    I'm partial to your abracadabra,

I'm raptured by the joy of it all.

He's one of the worst vocalists of all time. They'd be grand apart from that.

You are right. Much better song if Andrea Bocelli was the vocalist on it.

Maybe, but even someone that didn't sound like they were ****ting a shoebox sideways would do fine. I remember the first time I ever heard them, great start and then such disappointment.

Off topic but Josh Homme is one of the last great front men. They're a dying breed.

I love when he kicks fans in the face from the stage. There’s a bit of Eric Cantona about him.

    I care not one jot!

In all seriousness, music is subjective and everyone has different tastes, so opinions will always vary, but anyone who doesn't like QOTSA is wrong.

Where can there be a place in rock n roll for a man of such extravagant talent...:P

There was a bit of a delay but its up now.

Decided to listen to the totally football show for the commute home because of the delay, I enjoyed the more in depth analysis of the games and hearing about the leagues around Europe. Since the football weekly split I've not listened to either of the two products of that split so Ive lost touch with things like the championship.... But f*ck me, the ads are painful. Terrible terrible ads every few minutes it seemed. Or maybe I'm just spoiled!

You won't be saying that if they include Julio Iglesias in the choices for Friday's pod.

Isn't that what they always do?

And that's why I listen. Not sure what you mean by "are allowed enjoy themselves a bit too" - you'd swear it was a hard hitting podcast dealing with some dark topics under editorial constraints that they need the occasional comic relief from. That's clearly not the case. Who's dictating anything to them!?

I don't really have much an issue with the grunge crack - I like Eoin's obvious delight in it but both of Monday's podcasts had pretty much the exact same near 5 minute intro about the grunge poll. No big deal - I skipped through a chunk of it the second time around.

That's all. No big deal. No major criticism. I even liked finishing up with the Pixies.

Thought the Ryder Cup coverage was good craic.

Best part of grunge week is Ken and Murphs reaction every time Eoin mentions it.

Major fail today in putting Staind in the middle of Grunge Week. That tune was from 2001, not 1995.
