Yeah. I know. Biologically speaking. But still. I get the most overwhelming urge to procreate whenever I see a puppy and that manifests itself in my ovaries.

Ahh, not the same for me so. Puppies don't make me want babies. They make me want puppies.

Most women I know get all squeally when they see cute babies or cute kids. Not me. I don't do babies but give me a cute kitty and I am mush.

I work with dogs, and occasionally get to name them.

First lot I named after my Stephen King characters we had in our game. Strangely, not Cujo though! :pac:

Second lot I didn't have long to consider names, so the first that came to mind were Werewolf players (Boards accounts, not RL names!), so there's a handful called after you guys. I'll let you wonder which ones I used. ;)

I might just be spending too much time on Werewolf this summer :P

Third lot was entirely unrelated to Werewolf though, so I'm not wholly crazy. Only mostly crazy.

I take it you've called a dog Murray?

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue

Yeah, I'm usually just being polite when I squeal over a baby. Does nothing for me.

Kittens, puppies, cats, dogs, anything, everything, just not of the human variety thanks.

Qb is being very evasive as to what she named the puppers.

Might just be, but don't let ALC hear you say it!

Not as cute as puppies or kittens, but still cuter than humans, yeah.

Ah sure I don't want to upset people by letting them known they weren't chosen. Similarly I don't want to creep people out by letting them know they were chosen. Put it like this though, some names are more conducive to dog names than others. I didn't call any of them Necrominus, for example.

I'm just going to assume there is an adorable little Ecto-pup wandering around :D

There must be a Molly. I've already heard of some puppies called Molly.

If i was going to name a pup after any of ye, Murray, Sully or Molly would probably get the nod. Good solid dog names.

Er, no. I draw the line at maggots.

That's completely unfair quickbeam to be honest, this is a photo of a maggot:

    How is that not cute?

There’s something to be said for a bit of a community.

I went to the pharmacy to collect my prescription. I’d chat a bit to the pharmacist/staff whenever I’d be in, catch up on random stuff. Long story short, I left the chemist today with a big bag of home grown cooking apples.

You going to make us all apple cakes now?

I’m baking on Wednesday for the hospice coffee morning on Thursday so if you know anyone me or my mam work with, they will have some cake.

A Pharmacist, and home grown ......

.... apples certainly isn't how I was expecting that post to end.

    Still, nice prezzie!

So, to get back Off-Topic or so to say :P

I'm looking for suggestions on where to take wifey for a weekend away in November. Needs to be in Ireland, only planning on two days so flying not really an option.

Was thinking somewhere like Lahinch, but it's ruddy November :(

Might just book into somewhere in Galway, it's a pretty neat place and she hasn't been there.

How about to Dunfanaghy in Donegal? My best mate from Ireland is the GM of the Shandon Hotel & Spa and can get a good deal for you.

Beautiful place and just up the road from Letterkenny and also Derry for shopping :D

    Hey Everybody

    Been a while!

Had the most amazing time in the Caribbean. That ship was unreal. 17 floors of her and so much to do. The hubby wasn't keen on going on a cruise ship and only came as he gets a travel budget from work and we got €€ back!

He is already looking at the next one! We went to the aqua show, which was like cirque du soleil in water with diver/acrobats and was fab, then we did the broadway show of Mamma Mia on the second night. Went to three ice shows which were Monopoly, How to Train your Dragon and I can't think the last one.

Food was everywhere and every sort of cuisine you could think. There was the Windjammer restaurant which was buffet style and had so much choice which was topped up as it ran out. There was a Johnny Rockets which is the original Eddie Rockets and a carbon copy of what you get in Ireland. Hot dog joints, donut places, you name it! the 10lbs I put on in two weeks was well bought and paid for :D

ZIp lines, rock climbing, pools, cinema, and the casino where the hubby went a couple of evenings when myself and the little one fell into bed.

Much cheaper than a package holiday as you just don't spend on the boat!

But one of the best things was sleeping with our balcony door open, curtains pulled and falling asleep listening to the water. Was absolute bliss.

The Allure of the Seas was great, but we looking at the Symphony of the Seas for the next one. It is in Europe right now and moves to Miami at the end of the year or early next year. She is only a few months old as is currently the largest Cruise ship in the world. She is an Oasis Class ship with Royal Caribbean and so is the Allure. She is slightly bigger with a few extra features but mostly the same as the Allure.

The hubby told his boss he was going to play poker for a living on a ship as he could make a fortune. A guy at the tables in the casino does that and just stays on the shop full time and takes money off the drunk American's with way too much cash!

There ya go Mick, a change of scenery for poker for ya!

That's because everyone knows that Barney is a great dog name. The obvious choice really. :)
