No, I was only asking if I understood how Conor worked it out...

It was only when I typed in the letter numbers I realized it skipped a letter because it was corpses 2,4,5 and one of the corpses has 2 letters.

I assumed it was because they all had letters except the third one, so maybe that meant don't include the third letter?

So delete ? Derry reckons that the people playing dumb are wolves.

    Corpse
    1 D
    2 I
    3 D Y
    4 O
    5 U

So I actually started off on the right track with this, but then veered off wildly and concentrated on D & Y.

Eerily similar to the "did you miss me" burned in to the corpses!!

So the phrase has 12 letters. 10 of the corpses have one letter burned in to their left eyelid, and one has two letters burned in to each eyelid, so:
    1st - D
    2nd - I
    3rd - D & Y
    4th - O
    5th - U
    6th - M
    7th - I
    8th - S
    9th - S
    10th - M
    11th - E

So, something about the letters DY - a character's initials? The initials of a couple?

And Who has a group of people to work on these riddles? Who actually knows the answers to the riddles? These clues could just as easily be wolves trying to pocket the village. I’m not saying it’s so but I’ve been accused of trying to look villagey for less...

I don’t think the wolves have the answers, the two mods are the exact mods who I saw a film about a dream in a book I read who did that with a clue in a song I like so I think they prevented that.

Morning folks. We are in a good place now having the clues solved. Loving the new roles / powers in this game. Gonna make for an interesting game.

I dunno about these songs, or books, or even dreams but imo if the wolves had the answers they'd have used them fairly quickly no? For village credit - I mean it's not like they were going to go unsolved.

TLDR: I'd tend to agree with you :pac:

But the wolves had 4 or 5 of them working on the answers together in the backroom. They each had their role and would I presume maybe know a bit about their character. They also knew their powers but not sure that helps clues...

I’m not saying they are wolves but you can’t deny that wolves in a backroom don’t have an advantage over us individually trying to work it out. And if the wolves decided to use that information (not as bold a play as it might look IMO) it’s a great way to curry favor with the village ...

In fairness, isn't that all of us?

I agree that just because people have solved the clues does not make them a villager. I'm not say it automatically makes them a wolf but this early in the game everyone is still under suspicion - its too early to start clearing people!

Paranoia will get you nowhere. Open eyes and suspicious minds is the better way to approach the game. In my humble opinion at least.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not actually out to get ya!

    Plus 1.

The first rule of a good Dectective is to suspect everyone, especially those who look least suspicious. So Derry is the one I suspect most on that basis.

Ok so Derry and Conor are the cryptic crossword players of the group. Well done lads. And well done mods for such an entertaining day 0. Proper head scratcher.

On one side it was fresh and new.

The bad thing is its given a wolf or SK a nice place to blend in

Only thing I thought about is wouldn’t it put the SK on a wolf radar?

I mean surely an SK wants to blend in and basically not look helpful or threatening to anybody, particularly early on?!

From the village perspective it’s best that Conor and Derry are NRVs. If they were bad then they could think a seer wouldn’t bother peaking them.

Excluding Moriarty who needs two full peeks. Blend in as nrv or good idea, peek as good, carry out evil deeds.
