Jim Moriarty – Every fairy tale needs a good old-fashioned villain.

    Clue: MORSCCXLV

    Guess: Adolf Hitler

The Schutzstaffel or the SS is CC in cyrillic alphabet.

cccp = These latin symbols are identical to the cyrillic ones used in the Russian alphabet. CCCP is pronounced as: Soyuz Sovetskih Sosalistichiskih Republic

so, S's are C in cyrillic.

    Schutzstaffel

The Schutzstaffel (SS; literally "Protection Squadron") was a major paramilitary organization under Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party (NSDAP) in Nazi Germany, and later throughout German-occupied Europe during World War II.

It was next thing I found after the other famous CC who died in '45, Carel Cachet, or Carel Adolph Lion Cachet, a Dutch designer, printmaker and ceramist, known his role in transforming of Dutch decorative arts in the early 20th century.

Only two links I could find to CC death in '45. Maybe you can find more using the same thought stream.

Felt a lot more like day 1 than day 0 from deciphering clues, who helped who didn't, who had spats with who and who wants who shot/peeked/ protectied

Ok, day 1 now. It's time to get real. Mods, please reset all clues and puzzles to new ones :D

Oh and good morning everyone. Probably won't be on much until after work so if we could keep the page count to a digestible 5-11, that would be spiffy. SPIFFY.

Nice work Connor. Blind stab in the dark? Must see if I can work backwards latter :P

I think that's going to have been a great day one. I'd wager that at least one of the "oh me so stupid" posters is a wolf, as would one of the cheerleaders be.

Think Day one will be seen as very helpful one.

Off to work now so glad I will be able to do some actual work and not frantically obsess about puzzles. Hopefully I'll be able to get online at some stage this morning.

No it was Death 245 after all. The letters on the eyelids of corpse no.s 2, 4 and 5.

:pac: That's a very aggressive start to the day Mr Derry. It's almost like we're in a different universe (another cool theme for WW btw)

    “Did you”

    Letter 2 = I 4 = Y 5= O

It’s because corpse 3 has two letters, right?

I think its safe to assume it is, given the mods confirmed it is.
