I met a couple today, 91 and 92. They put me to shame with their love of life.

When you pass through the slog of working life and have mortgage paid, family reared etc. life becomes a joy and something to make the most of and appreciate.

    TH, good health.

I love munching my way round the garden. Plums, tomatoes, raspberries, salad stuff, I wish September would never end.

My medication works and I feel a lot more energetic. So instead of napping with the baby I'll repot a few of my houseplants.

Spotify's Throwback Thursday playlist is on fire this week and the lovely lady in the deli gave me an extra sausage this morning :)

I am fighting the impulse to response with a battle that makes the opening to Saving Private Ryan look like a pet shop advert.

    TA - my filthy mind!

The staff at the M8 toll plaza in Watergrasshill make my day, having the craic with them for those brief seconds when handing over my fee brightens my morning.

Got some tax affairs sorted out last month after I paid the guy to do them I have ten euro left of the refund to spend on 'nothing'!
The plans running through my mind for this solitary ten euro!

My last attempt at trading here grossed E6 as the expected large group got detained and arrived far too late..my neighbours bought a Mayo angel each and pressganged a passing cyclist into buying one....

My boss told me to spend it on chocolate! Sounded good to me..

TH about an unexpected invitation for chicken breast with mashed potatoes at a friends place yesterday evening. Fooling around with his kids and getting put their tame rat onto my shoulders. ;-)

Later there were two mugs of old fashioned rum ´n ´coke for the adults and me cycling back home in pitch black night surrounded by far away thunderstorms. Fantastic to look at my scheduled stop 2/3 down the way and seeing the bats swishing by as well.

    Like it... :-D

Haven't read them books in years. Would it look a bit odd if a 30-something was to go & buy them
