So Faaader Ray Kelly gets to sing to a mostly absent audience.

Ray Kelly was giving out on the D'Arcy show that he was never asked to sing. I'd say he was a very late addition. Priest or no priest, seems like a bit of a media whore tbh.

As modest as Joe himself is Fadder Ray.

The past hour with Mooney has been more entertaining than the four hours with Joe.

We all know there's only one man who could filled the Phoenix Park and he's retired.

    I'll give you a clue:

He kept the RTE advertising department busy for years and he's no Jazz Singer.

He'd have been there, but his car broke down again.

I know little Spanish, but find Latin American largely easier to follow.
I was unaware of any dancing and salsa music breaking out in the crowds, though.

Haven’t been following the Papal visit and dat but from what I hear Garret Brukes would have atttacted a bigger audience to De Phoenix Park so to speak?

Undoubtedly, Joe will be claiming that he gets a bigger crowd at his Funny Fridays..........(same age profile as well).
Also, I heard that Sean Spicer was in town during the week....I assume they brought him over to estimate the size of the crowd.

That's a bit rich coming from VB. He spent the latter part of his career unashamedly promoting the looney left. I wouldn't call that journalism either.

Think he said he’d be on Liveline tomorrow

Definitely an attention seeker, not a well-adjusted person. The other priests who were singing at the event are primarily pastors, and amid their pastorship lend their capable singing voices to pastoral ends, SoToSPEAK, not to gain maximum votes on a tv contest.

Honestly, RTE spent the weeks before the event covering nothing positive about the Church they only covered negative stories about the sexual abuse. And during the coverage there was no reverence, it was bordering on being mocking and disrespectful at times.

Vincent had to sell his house a few years back, in spite of having worked hard all his life. Him being a champion of the left, I often wondered how he would feel if the council bought the house and gave it to an unemployed couple with ten kids.

Oh was Mooney doing the papal stuff or the wildlife. It's about time RTE took him out of purgatory and put him back on the frontline instead of some of the dead wood they are currently carrying. Take your pick from D'Arcy or Turbridy.

The coverage of the masses were nothing but reverential. Hundreds of thousands of licence fee money spent covering the masses in Dublin and Knock.

You must have been looking at a different channel.

Sure we'll tune in to hear the promo on the Ronan Collins show tomorrow and find out if it's Joe or Philip.

I think the lead up was definitely veering on mocking, but that thecoverage was respectful to Pope Francis who seems to be a genuine Christian and leader of the church.

Golly Jowel has a thinned down lookalike in j’audience.

What aspects were mocking? The focus on child sexual abuse wasn't mocking.

That’s just in fees for the presenters. Total cost would easily break a million, if not multiples of dat.
