just had a quick look, down to 5% from 6% last quarter. A drop of around 20%.
    6% to 5% is a drop of 16.7%, not 20%

Though it's more likely that it's something like 5.8% down to 5.3% - but both figures rounded out. It could in fact be anything from 6.4% -> 4.5% (29.7% drop) to 5.5% -> 5.4% (1.8% drop)

But in any event, it's down.

Lucy, in the middle of some mindless drivel, asked Colm if Liam Gallagher's song-for what it's worth- is a new song. She never heard it before. On a rock music ststion?

    It's a rock station ?;)

Midday today. Stations received them yesterday.

Jnlrs are available on the BAI website.

Nova is down though that could be as little as 5.46% to 5.44% - either way it's down which is not totally unexpected for a station that is transitioning.

Reality of commercial broadcasting is that all stations are continuously evolving - another reality is that all stations are play listed so talk that Marty plays better music than Pat C is nonsense - as is talk of Nova not meeting it's licencing requirements (look at the original submission and the sample Playlist if in doubt).

Another reality of commercial broadcasting is that Breakfast is king - it's the hook for the audience for the rest of the day and this is a potential problem for Nova.

The Colm and Lucy show is 13 weeks on air - a very short time in broadcasting and it just has not worked imho - it's too Early to judge but the breakfast slot will need to start attracting audiences soon.

The next Jnlrs will be more telling for the future of the show - time will tell.

Liam Quigley is the man for breakfast. no messing.

Wouldn't hold your breathe. No doubt he'll use the results as a reason to further change the playlist and talk about celebs to attract new listeners.

maybe he'll charge in monday and start the show with Saxon's belter "no surrender", Lucy won't exist anymore, anywhere, and it'll all be a Bobby Ewing shower type thing.

Think Pat is actually quite content on digital. No ads or news so means way more music.

Yes I used to listen to nova in the mornings and I knew exactly where the signal cuts out (carlow /Castledermot exit m9).. However some mornings I'd have no signal at all from my starting point (West wicklow)... That's a fair drop in signal

You mean you'd listen to nova over east coast radio...yikes..

I'm sure John Clark would know exactly what to do with the station. He was Colm Hayes's boss at one point anyway.

I think JC and his jukebox will be gone as soon as something better comes along....Doubt he gives a crap about Hayes...Branigan has let Hayes dictate what the station is going to be, just another mediocre popular music and gossip basterd....why cant they go back 5 years and improve on that....without Hayes obvs..!!

If Sunday Morning Juke Box goes, it will be at least one less Nova listener, other than the odd run to Dublin, and listening on FM.

    On Nova's Facebook page:

"3.1 MILLION of you continue to Choose Radio in Ireland! Thank you for listening," followed by the hashtag "choose radio," followed by practically all negative comments about the morning show.

There's only 5 comments there now.
Have they deleted all the negative stuff?
