Word seems to be emerging that Sergio Marchionne's condition is very very serious indeed. Hopefully it's not as bad as made out

So let's start looking forward to Hungary....what intrigues me is the massive electrical power advantage that Ferrari seem to have found, and the FIA are fine with it. Some saying that they have an extra 20 horses prancing around in the battery. That's a massive advantage.

Ferrari have definitely found something, no doubt. Is it the massive leap that's being made out though? I mean, Vettel was only just two tenths ahead of Bottas in Quali there in Germany...on a good day, Lewis can find at least two tenths on Bottas, which would have put him at least alongside Seb, if not ahead of him.

Something unusual pointed out on Sky on the Grid Walk, Ferrari were leaving dry ice on top of the Camera mount on the roll hoop to keep it cool. Supposedly they have something in there that needs cooling. Could be Sky BS but who knows.

Autobild are reporting Lawrence Stroll has at least bought into the team or bought it outright. The situation is very unclear, honestly I don't care if Stroll buys it I just want the team to survive.

What a pile of s**t. Again... what would happen if there was a campaign across the globe to promote the achievements of white people? #whiteexcellence

Skin colour does not need to be mentioned after he had such a good drive and result. It's idiotic.
White people aren't an underrepresented group in the upper levels of success.

How many white kids are at a loss for successful role models?

    Fcking hell.

Yeah seen that, they reckoned that Ferrari were using the camera housing for some 'bespoke' electronics that had no other way to be kept cool other than a bag of dry ice on top. It's good fun to speculate, it seems to be driving people mad wondering where they've found the apparent "2 years of development work" in just a few races :D

Just hiding solar panels on top of the camera, like the one on a Nissan Leaf 😂

I too am loving all the hype about this.
Absolutely fantastic the theories going round.
Yet when Merc were legging it ahead of the rest of the field it was a case of "Mercedes did a very good job in this era"

    Also
Bottas said after quali that He could explain a few hundreds between him and Vettel but he had no answer for tenths of a second.
Long may this Ferrari upper hand live .!
It is making this an enjoyable season.

The Ferrari gain is only electrical power, so torque out of corners would be the main gain. They're not fastest in any of the speed traps, so they're still losing time on long straights hence why Merc are still there in the power tracks.

Seeing as Red Bull is such a superior chassis, if they had Ferrari's electrical energy pack and Merc's ICE, they'd be the ultimate F1 car.

Or maybe, the driver was using it to keep cool and when he was finished they just left it there?

    This too shall pass.

Are you sure about that? I thought Ferrari were getting their advantage on the straights through pure power?

I've often said this. Stick a Merc or Ferrai PU in the back of that Red Bull and it'd be unstoppable.

Awful news for Sergio if true and must be difficult for the family.
If it is true it looks like Ferrari are kind of covering the true cause as Philip Morris are their main sponsor and the new boss and Arivibene both came from Philip Morris

As bad as you may think he is. 1) he had to step aside today as strangely enough Vettel was unable to pass him. That initslef say a lot for his speed and ability.

    2) he is now only 40 points behind Vettel so I feel he deserves a fair crack at the championship.

I don't think he has become a "bad" driver at all but at this stage of his career his skills are in marked decline. That's a fact of life for all veteran sportspeople. Anyway, Vettel is in a league of his own and would make any team mate look inadequate. He ought to have won by a country mile yesterday but will still win the title comfortably.

A repeat of the 2006 race so :D

    Button took his first victory
De La Rosa too his only podium (2nd)
Kubica made his debut (and scored a points finish only to be disqualified).

And the lovely Nick Heidfeld finished third in the BMW Sauber.

He was also the defending world champ as well.

Ricciardo - 3 wins and 7 podiums in total with 238 points
Vettel - 0 wins and 4 podiums in total with 167 points

    And?
what has that got to do with todays cars?
And if Danni is so good then why is he not beating the socks off of Max?

It refutes the point that "Vettel is in a league of his own and would make any team mate look inadequate." Seb is a world class driver, but not in a league of his own, not by a long shot. Lewis, Max, Danny, and Fernando are all in that same league.

    Lewis? Arguably, arguably not
    Same for Max
Danny is a solid driver but I don't think he will ever be WC (barring a circumstance like Nico's WC)

"Fernando is faster than you" Seb.
