Any data to back up your claims regarding Pat's show JNLR figures or likewise ?

Seems to be quite a niche show which I really like but has a small following and the same listener names are read out every week so I would love to know where you are getting this information from !

The fact that Hayes wanted Pat to go is proof enough...he's jel jel :).....can you inform us where you got your "small following" from....a niche show playing rock music on a "rock" station...confusing..as for the same people contacting the show...some people like to do this....i'm a regular listener but have never texted in...

Did a 70 year old write this article? RTE 2 is the TV ...2FM is the Radio !!

Edit: His Friday co-host wrote this article ...FFS!!

Come to think of it ....remember that very short lived game show on RTE that Colm and Jim Jim hosted in the mid 00's, wearing boiler suits ?

    Edit: The Home Run...

Yes the small following is based on the fact that the show is on late on Sunday night akin to the graveyard shift, not many people I know who are music fans listen to it and that only 150 people / listeners signed the petition arising from the campaign after the news broke to keep the show on the radio.

Niche is another word for specialist for which the show is and an excellent one at that. I never said a rock show on a rock station that is your interpretation as Nova is not a rock station anymore hardly was and is certainly not now.

You however have stated here on this thread that OTR was more popular than Nadine O'Regan Songs In the key of Life on Today FM, also that Nova presenters listen to 8 radio and other stations. I thought to my stupidity and confusion you had some real information or facts hence why I asked about the JNLR how silly of me.

Your fatal error was applying a rational thought process to anything being discussed on this thread. No good can come of that around here.

Disappointed to hear that Nova has their sports segment sponsored by a betting company. The station has gone to the dogs.

Hi Max I am not forgetting my comments about the song The Waiting by Tom Petty it was a not a snipe but an observation "For The Record" (geddit) PJ show is great and now he has taken to playing a different Tom Petty track which should be his anthem "The Last DJ" .

I have no gossip or remarks on any other parts of the station I only listen to 4 shows at the weekend (well one now on playback) my car radio is not turned on during the day anymore unless I listen to BBc Radio 2, Near FM of DUblin City FM depending on what part of city I am in.

The powers that be at Nova have decided for whatever reason Rock music is not a viable option anymore and taken a different path, its a pity but like all radio licences the BAI let the stations be flexible, its an Irish thing sure we'll be grand nobody will notice swap Black Sabbath for ED Sheeran

Wonder would the BAI take notice if enough people complained?

Doubt it.....at this stage as i've said i dont really care, we'll see what happens when the licence is up, sure Hayes will be on the telly by then, and Branigan will be in "Dundrum"...:D

No. They can only act if the Broadcasting Act has been breached.

"I don't like Colm Hayes" and "Pat James was shafted" probably won't cut it.
