I doubt anyone will directly reply to your claims because it would take crazy to a whole new level.

Do you honesty think parents with a FFA went all the way to England to kill an unborn baby that was going to die anyway?

They went to England TO MAKE SURE the baby would die. Just in case the baby lived and they would have a disabled baby for the next 20 years of their life.

Women will still end up going to the UK for their abortions because it's cheaper and quicker to fly Ryanair than to get it over here.

Those women, what will they get up to next.

ROFLMAO (sorry to the younger people here as that’s an old one!)

If you have a problem with my posts you know what to do.

Says more about you than me. Typical response .

    1. make unfounded allegations
    2. refuse to prove them
    3. make more unfounded allegations
    4. refuse to prove them
    5. make it about the other person rather than admit 1-4.:D

    Nazi Ireland has begun.

The incinerators will be bellowing out smoke early next year.

The only reason young people voted so overwhelmingly in favor of abortion is because they don't want a child with downs syndrome. The NO side really scored an own goal putting up so many posters and distributing leaflets with children of downs syndrome on them (albeit with the permission of the downs syndrome children themselves and their parents).

Every single one of those posters acted like a YES poster to 20 year olds.

Young people don't care about equality, they only pretend to. They only care about trying to make their lives look perfect on facebook and posing in front of mirrors with big pouts on their faces. A down syndrome child doesn't fit in with a young generation obsessed with such superficiality and materialism.

They want "perfect" children to fit in with their superficially perfect lives they put on Facebook and Instagram. That's what they voted for in droves. Fear of having a down syndrome child is what caused so many of them to vote yes.

    1/10

    Must try harder.

Is “Expert on What Young People Want and Care About” front and centre on your CV by any chance? Reading this post, it seems like it should be. You’re so knowledgeable on the wants and cares of a whole swathe of our population.

How did you become such an expert on this topic? Got a PhD in it or something? I’d love to read your research papers & thesis!

Even more of a typical response. Maybe you need to look in the mirror. Try smiling while you are at it. The person in the mirror will smile back at you. :pac:

Have we all got equal rights in this country now?

I really hope this result puts an end to the gender war.

Cheaper and quicker to fly to the UK than to go to your GP?

You... you're actually just learning about all of this today, aren't you? I mean, abortion, the legislation, how periods work... all of it. Like you saw the referendum result on the news today and though "oh I'm not having that, I better take a look see what can be done about it!"

You adorable blunder of a human.

Jesus Christ. Get a room please.

The dude made a quipping joke about a third referendum and you took it personally as all hell.

Obvious joke about Ireland's re-referendum drama is obvious.

You only have equal rights if you agree with the majority.

If you insist.....but since you don't know me from the primordial soup I no doubt assume you believe I evolved from, you've no idea how I took it.

I don't care how you took it, that's why personally if you both took the spat to PM I'd be much happier is the entire thrust of my argument.

    Serious question.

Are men and women on an equal playing field now that body autonomy is no longer an issue?

No. But it’s one barrier removed.

Ooh we've got a live one. This isn't good for me, I had to go to rehab to stop me posting to BC&P.

Do women often go 10 weeks with out a period and think it's normal?

Yes. Lots of women go without periods and its normal.
I'm 39 weeks pregnant and have a period every 28 days. Only this baby was planned who knows how long it would have been before I found out.

    Serious question.

Impossible to say with certainty now. Very simple to say that they have moved toward parity further though. For instance the Irish Constitution still states

"In particular, the State recognises that by her life within the home, woman gives to the State a support without which the common good cannot be achieved.

"The State shall, therefore, endeavour to ensure that mothers shall not be obliged by economic necessity to engage in labour to the neglect of their duties in the home."

And there are probably still gender wage gaps I presume? So no, I would not say confidently that women and men are on equal playing fields yet, just more equal after today.

For me the next major issue is parental rights.

An easy win would be parental leave.

    Please explain "obviously"?

What is next do you think.

Shareable maternity/paternity leave would be great. My wife would have gone back to work sooner, and I'd have loved more time to be home for the start of things. Give us 8 months to split up as we like.
