So your solution is what? Do nothing and pretend? Does it becomes less iccky if done off the Island of Ireland?

Just because something is done off the island of Ireland doesn't mean it should be done here. Prostitution is legal in Amsterdam. Should it be legalised here for that reason?

Would you end up with something like a balloon animal? I suppose its inevitable with all that pumping and air!

I shan’t tell you the image that conjured up in my mind, but I will tell you that it was bloody hilarious.

On a more serious note, they can rub together and the friction can cause either/both to split. Same reason you wouldn’t double bag your junk. Just Incase anyone was thinking of trying the two- don’t!

Where's the constitutionally protected right for Irish citizens to travel to procure prostitution services abroad?
As is the case with the 13th and 14th amendment?

Actually, that's what I'm currently doing, but I don't for one second believe that the risk is gone.

    Your "point" is crazy.

Yes because asking someone to practice A little restraint is crazy

Id argue unintentionally creating a life then terminating it is crazy

My way involves a little restriction, careful planning and both individuals life which has no impact on anyone else

Your way is self interest which actually impacts both individuals initially, on top of creating and killing an in utero baby

    And I'm the crazy one??

Reread the above and move past the conditioned indulgent "me me me" perspective...it's reminiscent of the egocentricity that permeates modern Ireland
Your way involves two people never, ever, ever having sex ever until about the age of 60, since no contraception, even when using every method available at the same time, is 100% effective.

Name 4 contraceptive methods a couple can safely combine.

    Gladly

    Condom
    Bar/pill/patch
    Cervical cap
    Withdrawal

You can add the natural cycle method too for 5...but that's asking too much restraint for most

You can't say that a certain % of abortions are of healthy babies and when called out on the false statistic claim you're entitled to your opinion.

If you put forward stats then its not an opinion and you should expect to be questioned on it.

OK, well what percentage of healthy women with healthy babies obtain abortions in your view?

Spoke to my aunt this morning. She is a registered nurse and has worked with children with special needs for the last 30 years. She told me she is pro-choice.

I actually heard of this being brought up with teachers/sna's/etc who work with kids with special needs and was very mixed!

The friction could cause melting and therefore spillage, it can also be an issue at the point of insertion as sensitivity can be muted and insertion is under the femidom and that's not recommended.

Then there is the issue of 'prickly heat' from the inside tempx2 with all that latex. As for the potential for allergenic conditions........:(

The question is whether we want to regulate, supervise and restrict it, or if we want to continue exporting the problem, pretending it isn't happening.
This isn't going to go away.
Again I'm just playing devils advocate here but what other "crimes" would you normalize because they will happen anyway?

Fine, but what is the solution?

Vote No and what is currently happen will continue to happen? You are prepared to vote that every year 3k+ woman will have to travel abroad because you demand that we won't deal with it?

This has nothing to do with other countries allowing it, it has to do with what is right and wrong.

Surprisingly not as hazard-free as ppl think, as there is a possibility of spillage from the bum to the area of the virgina, and sperm in that area is not recommended.

I dunno. I live not too far from the German border and still occasionally encounter the mullet plus Bert Reynolds moustache combo the odd time...

I'm not advocating repeal because its happening anyway.
I'm advocating it because the requirement to travel makes it dangerous and unsafe.

We don't die from lack of prostitution services. Women have died from lack of abortion.

We are a nation of hypocrites to have the right to travel in our constitution. Typical "not in my backyard" type attitude. Its the height of hypocrisy.

I don't know, nor do I really care.

I'm happy for women to make the decision that is right for them.

I don't think that a fetus of less than 12 weeks is deserving of rights over and above the mother's right to bodily autonomy.

After 12 weeks I'll admit it does get more complicated but as the vast vast majority of abortions will occur before then it's almost a moot point.

If something is legal, the numbers requesting the service will increase. When something is legal, people tend to believe it is right. If abortion was introduced In Ireland, the number of women requesting this service would increase dramatically. Abortion was introduced in the UK to solve the problem of back street abortions, it was never intended to be what it has become. If abortion was available in Ireland, many women experiencing a crisis pregnancy would choose this easy solution or would be pressurised into making this decision by others. If it meant having to travel, the time needed to organise everything could be the time needed to respond to the crisis and change their minds about an abortion.

Actually you can...I'd love to see where you got that unsubstantiated nonsense

In any event even if you had a valid point (you don't) s spermicide is easily inserted there

    And I actually listed 5 methods...so

    Stop making excuses
