Are they angling to bring Niamh back with this seemingly pointless Ruthie story?

I wonder was there a falling out behind the scenes between the actress and FC bosses, Niamh was always saying she would never give Ruth up yet all of a sudden she ups and leaves and didn't seem a bit bothered that she was leaving her kid behind.

I found it a bit odd that Charlotte even brought the picture of jesus to the Helping Hand, it's a charity shop so I doubt the people that would be coming in for assistance are going to be looking for a religious picture.

What do you mean 'coming in for assistance' ? A charity shop generally sells a wide variety of bric-a-brac. The proceeds of the sales help those in need of assistance.

The type of person who might buy a religious picture varies from those who are devoutly religious, to hipsters who see it as some kind of ironic statement to have about the house.

I'm still quite shocked at how crap her exit was, for someone who was in the show for so long. Unless they knew she'd be back within a few months..?

Same with Dermot, long time character just dropped. Didn't even bother to follow up with a court case or any further mention.

That was a master-stroke by the detective, to let Kerri-Anne touch the murder 'weapon'.
We all know that she had spent the last two weeks staring mournfully at it, then handling it, bleaching it, drying it, and moving it from place to place in the house.
Yet all it took was a quick little feel of it to convince Kerri-Anne to bare her soul to the police. It's true what they say, the sense of touch is the most important of all.
"Sob, sob! Yes, it's true! I'm responsible for killing Karen! But you see, I had to. I saw her kissing my husband, my beautiful, beautiful Declan. That's probably the worst thing anyone could do to a happily married couple. I couldn't possibly let her get away with that. "
Well now, let's just think about that for a minute, Kerri-Anne . Leaving aside the fact that 'my beautiful, beautiful Declan' is no Brad Pitt, and I doubt if he's the subject of many women's erotic fantasies, (" Oh, Decco, Decco, please let me rub your massive courier license") only a few months ago, Kerri-Anne, you were only too happy to play a game of 'hide the mutton dagger' with Mondo, (albeit fully dressed, and without a hair out of place) and yet you feel that a simple kiss is grounds for homicide.
Strange set of morals indeed ...
Then again, who am I to judge?
Maybe Decco is a 'great roide', and for that reason alone it's well worth a few years in the 'Joy.

Doctor Jim's plans to go abroad again. Bob's decision to seek out a best man. Renee's dream of a huge wedding that will make Harry and Meghan's ceremony look like "a bit of an ould do". Little Ruthie's problems in school. Oisin and Dean's plans to make their little Portaloo food Kiosk the 'in' place for festival goers.
All these side issues pale into insignificance when compared with the 'hugely entertaining' tales of the Bishop clan.
Personally speaking, if it wasn't for the great craic on this thread, I couldn't give a sh*t for any of them.
Like Kerri-Anne said in the last scene on Thursday night, "I have murder in my heart now."
Me too, Kerri, me too. Well, maybe not murder as such, but I'd definitely go for a bit of the ould grevious bodily harm if only I could get my hands on those 'scriptwriters'............

If Kerry Ann had become pregnant with Mondo,it would have been an immaculate conception because she never took her tights off!

I have a feeling it has more to do with Will; and if my suspicions are correct, i.e. that he's living a double life, is a closeted bi man who feels free to be himself while in Dublin, but has a female wife and kids at home elsewhere. I think it's a case of missing his kid/kids, hence the bonding with Ruthie. :)

I share your sentiments, as I said before, she should automaticaly have know the baba wasn't his due to the birth control in nylon form, butwas too thick to figure it out... Come to think of it, I'd say the earth didn't exactly move for Mondo during that whole experience with those tights in the way, if you get my meaning! :D

Ah yeah I'm just quoting Oisín .... and probably Paul at some stage

But Paul must have a thing for the Doyle women.... According to Mam Rachel's mam Helen Doyle was Paul's true love who did tragically after a car accident where they had a row - Paul was driving at the time. She said when helen died Paul more or less barricaded himself in her hospital room and refused to leave and the end credits played out a montage of Paul and Helen scenes with ''My heart Will Go On'' from the movie 'Titanic'' playing in the background. She said it actually gave her a case of the teary sniffles.

Then ruthie's birth mum was Helen's sis, Yvonne....

Thank God Suzanne is in Australia, or doubtless she'd have another Paul Brennen love child, and Louise is gone to Portugal as she'd be in the same position.... All he needs is a good Doyle woman - not all these other affairs :D :P

Again I made the mistake of replyingto the wrong quote - sorry, my bad!

They look very facially similar (and aoife also has a look of Fergie's - not Alex Ferguson, but Fergie who was married to Prince Andrew) eldest daughter about her.

It's a pity they hadn't cast the actress as Niamh's cousin instead of Orla in the beginning.

We used to get some of the weirdest stuff ever - especially from the clothing banks when I volunteered in a charity shop as a teenager.

The stuff that was brought in by the regular donars was always grand, as it was usaually clothes, belts, handbags and the likes and the clothes were always washed and ironed.

But the clothing bank stuff was dead weird.... And disgraceful and disgusting as hell.

We used to wear laytex gloves sorting through it, because some people actualy dumped their rubbish, including dirty nappies, undies and the likes in it, but the funniest thing of all we found was bondage gear - mask, thigh high boots and all. One of the girls said we'd dump the lot, but I said keep the boots, someone will want those . And sure enough they became part of out window display, tasteffully - I'd like to think - arranged with other trendy clothes and sold.

One poor old man whose wife had recently died brought in her pictures, one was actually one of the Sacred Heart and another of the Virgin Mary. I never thought to check for screwdrivers though. but they both sold too. :D

Sorry, replied to the wrong quote...

That sounds like a storyline I'd really have enjoyed.

Pity I was more into Home and Away that time....

I wonder is he under contract at the moment because he seems to be supporting repealing the Eighth amendment going by his personal Facebook page! I'm not sure but I think the actors have to be quite about that when under contract.

I could maybe understand Kerri Ann following Karen if she and Decco had gone into Wayne's gaff for hanky panky, but Karen was alone and Charlotte and Sash too have said hurtful cruel things to Kerri Ann for cheating on Decco

God that was a few years ago, it's probably reincarnated as Spar carrier bags now or maybe it ended up in the FC wardrobe dept. Bob might wear it on his wedding day! :D

Tell ya what, I'll buy you a new one! :P

True, but she'd never have tackled either of them, both are tough, Charlotte did kill her evil dad, so in a fight, KA would come off worst, and Sash was in prison and has a gob on her, was dragged up by her addict mam, so she'd be scared of her too.

I think that Karen was just an easy target, she was taking her own inner loathing and guilt out on her, if you get what I mean, well, that's what I think....

Can't sleep, so have a (sarcastic) brilliant upcoming storyline for FC.

WHO KILLED MONDO ( EVEN THOUGH THE VIEWERS ALREADY KNOW)

KA, out on bail, meets Mondo in the park after dark.

KA: ''I love you Raymond and I want us to be together, you, me and our baby'' (she lovingly cradles her belly)

Mondo: ''You're mad, Kerri-Ann, go home to your husband, or - or better still get back down to the Garda Station!''

KA ''You're right, Raymond, I'm mad all right - mad about you.....''

Mondo: ''You murdered a young girl because you love Decco, remember? Get away from me now or - or'

KA (interrupting him) ''We could go to Spain right now, just you me and our baby... Picture it Raymond, the three of us riding unicorns down the beautiful Spanish beaches at sunset....''

Mondo: ''That baby is Decco's, not mine; we didn't even need that expensive bleeding DNA test to prove it, you used your tights as birth control, remember! I DON'T LOVE YOU KERRI ANN!''

KA: ''Of course you love me Raymond, we're destined to be together.... And why are you saying mean things about our baby? Karen said mean things about the baby too......'

Mondo: 'THAT THING YOUR CARRYING IS A BISHOP! PSYCHO PADDY BISHOP'S GRANDCHILD!'' (Takes a deep breath) ''You don't love me, Kerri-Ann, you love Decco, you love him so much you killed an innocent young girl because you thought she was with him!''

KA (smiles sweetly and blinks a few times) ''That was just hormones, Raymond.... I love you, I know that now..... Aoife slamming my poor little face down on that table reminded me of how much....''

Mondo: ''Hormones? Bleeding HORMONES! GET AWAY FROM ME YOU CRAZY COW, IF I NEEDED ANY FURTHER PROOF THAT YOU'RE PREGNANT WITH PADDY BISHOP MARK TWO I HAVE IT NOW!''

KA (crying) Why are you saying mean things about the baby? Our little baby is innocent''

Mondo: (Backing away, as KA's eyes take on a blanker than usual look) ''I don't want to be with you Kerri-Ann, now leave me alone or I'm calling John Deegan!''

KA (producing the screwdriver from her Hello Kitty handbag, the same screwdriver she used to murder Karen O'Neill which she nicked from the battered evidence locker in the Garda station) ''Karen said mean things about the baby too.... And she wouldn't shut up either....''

Mondo gapes fearfully as she lunges, screwdriver in hand - cut to credits.

I have one of those screwdrivers in the toolbox, you'd want to have a fair bit of shoulder power to stab someone with it so it's a bit unbelievable that a lightweight like KA who is also preggers went all John Rambo on Karen and "didn't mean to do it" as she keeps saying.
