Yes! Pointless bickering about something totally unrelated to rugby, NOW it's a Leinster-Munster build-up thread.

Dublin is the third most expensive city in europe for hotels, ahead of london.

Ah well if Cheaprooms.com say it's true it must be true!

Apart from the absolutely atrocious, embarrassing, shameful attempt at spelling, I would be very happy with this team.

I’d switch Fardy and Toner but other than that I’d say that’s probably what it’s going to be. Fardy will have the summer off, so I’d say he is the least likely to be rested.

I think that's a good balance of starters and rotation. Very strong team.

    +1 Venjur good job.

I'd think we need Fardy, although Luke McGrath is likely injured.. so Lowe might miss out again, which would be hugely disappointing..
    ISA may be injured too..

Think Isa should be grand, haven't heard anything about McGrath other than he was subbed as planned, not through injury.

Think there is an injury update today, they'll confirm Henshaw is done for the season, Sexton unlikely to be available but being given every chance to prove fitness before the weekend.

I think we'll see a decent few changes though, mix of players brought back in and bench switches.

I could be wrong but i think those rules on eligibility only apply to European games

They don't - they also apply to Pro14.

POM has never played at the RDS??

    .

Nacewa is gone for a scan which suggests that it could be something significant. He could well have played his last time for Leinster.

Sexton isn't going for a scan, less severe although I still don't expect him to feature this weekend.

I get a feeling Fardy won't play and JGP and Lowe will. Lowe has to if Nacewa, Ferg and Henshaw are out. McGrath still doesn't seem fully fit

Well how many years now has the Leinster v Munster league game taken place in the Aviva?
Also the last time the teams met in the league playoffs was in Thomond and that was a good few years ago now (?)

Looks like Isa and McGrath trained today, who knows if that’s an indication of anything though.

I wouldn't have a huge problem with that. Fardy to be back in for the final. He's an auld lad so probably no harm to give him a rest. Ruddock or Conan or both to come into the backrow, you don't exactly lose much. Larmour and Lowe on the wings please...

From what I can see, Nacewa is there but not participating.

If we retain the front 5, leavy ,ringrose and Sexton+Kearney play a half, the core of the team is 100%, room to rotate elsewhere. But is carbery doesn't get a half somewhere on the pitch he should seriously consider his options.

Come to think of it, only around half of the Munster squad will have played in the RDS before.

The ones who moved down from Leinster. :pac:

I'm sure you're correct, but may I politely ask how they are applied to the South African teams in Pro 14?

They aren't, South Africa is part of the Kolpak agreement (see the Wiki page). An Irish team could field a whole team of SA players if they wanted, never mind an SA team fielding SA players.

That's on a straight money for money basis. The crap you pay £150 a night for in London would frighten you.

There is actually a separate provision for South African sides that they may only field 2 non-SA players. Though in reality I guess the above would apply anyway.

So Munster send over 1k tickets back to Leinster......is this Irish sport's biggest bandwagon during the good days? These great supporters wouldn't drive 2 hours to support their team? You are not a real supporter if you don't follow your team through good and bad.

Probably only rivalled by the soccer/rugby teams at world cups/euro's in terms of ole ole brigade.

The Munster rugby supporters club are to blame for this, they said tickets would be available in a lottery with no gaurantee you will get one, while at the same time tickets went up for general sale through ticketmaster.

Loads of members including myself bought through ticketmaster instead of the supports club (at least we were gauranteed a ticket that way!) so didn't need to use my membership allocation.

That answers that! Was wondering if there was more to the story. Thanks!
