Don't be a coward. You can't worm your way out of this - its very clear who you were referring to. It was a very cruel thing to do.
You should be able to stand by what you said if you believe it to be true, which you must, seeing as you posted it about 5 times.

I'm still waiting for proof ?
I said above i believe an unborn child to be a child, not the idea of one.
Nothing cowardly about that at all.
How dare you have your own views and belief's , Do you not know in 2018 everybody is looking to be offended ,
I said any man who rapes there wife is a rapist and any man who call's the local priest  o get there wife to have sex is a pig and someone told me how dare i call there father a rapist and a pig ,
People in here don't read what you are saying they are in to much of a hurry to be offended ,

Well I have a mental disability, and am being targeted by multiple "genuine posters" on the NO side.

But I don't have to resort to pathetic insults to people who are disabled like your above post and your previous posts.

Like everything else in life, the truth will win out. We will rise above it and not be bated by you and your ilk. You can join Anne Frank on my ignore list, I enjoy posting on this thread and further discussion with you and other oleaginous posters like you is not worthy to have my posting privileges removed.

You do not have the ability to factually repudiate anything proffered by the repeal side. In the last gasp clutches of a dying man, you are now trying to insult and offend the repeal side. And. It. Will. Not. Work.

The same Dail/politicians who we give the legislative right to, amongst many other things (i) increase income tax to 98%, (ii) reduce the age of consent to single digits, (iii) declare war on other countries.
Yet life continues happily despite these powers the politicians have, cause they aren't going to do it.

No politicians are going to put in social legislation that the majority find abhorrent. It would be the end of their political career and would serve no purpose as the subsequent landslide government would undo it on Day 1.

My primary concern with the politicians being able to legislate is that some Healy Rae style headbanger will try to use their leverage to prop up a government in return for a drastic rollback. I'm fact I'd say the likes of them and McGrath would be on some level personally delighted with a yes vote as that's them sorted with seats for life as single issue candidates.

However, the 8th still has to go, anything is better.

I am holding my (metaphorical) tongue here because I am enjoying the debate and have no wish to be sent to the sin bin.

But can you please refrain from mocking those living with a disability ? It is about as low as you can go.
Don't let them win, no need to be drawn down.:)
    Rise above it!

It's like playing chess with a pigeon. Win or lose, the pigeon will walk on the board, knock over all the pieces, sh1t on the board and strut about like he's won.

And we have a few pigeons on this thread for sure.

Nobody gets to have a belief that they are entitled to be offended by and mock how someone else rationalises a miscarriage that happened to them.

It is extremely offensive for someone persistently take the p*ss out of something of such a sensitive matter.

This shouldn't even be up for discussion. Its below the belt and uncalled for.

Which I cannot accept. I completely fail to understand why anyone would give complete control of such an important issue to some unknown future politicians - even if they trusted the ones who were currently in office.

Let's be honest here. Your issue isn't trust in politicians, its your lack of trust in the electorate. You're afraid that should the law be changed in the future, the electorate won't object to it. You're not looking to bind future politicians, you're looking to bind future generations.

I see no reason why we should maintain what is by any objective standard a bad law, simply because you doubt the persuasive capabilities of future "pro life" supporters.

Politicians already deal with equally important issues, without anyone ever calling for constitutional limitations on their power. And the reason for that is because politicians don't have complete control; that power ultimately lies with the electorate.

In the event of a Yes vote, the electorate will retain that power. If you can't convince future electorates of the merit of your stance, that's on you, not us.
There's a perfectly valid third option.
Multiple referenda questions, or multiple referenda.

I don't see how these are valid options. We hold referendums to bring closure to a matter, not to continue having referendums. And if you're suggesting that we put the grounds for abortion into the constitution, I refer you back to my post that started this particular exchange.

As much as you may not like it, it's clear that a Yes vote is the only way to bring about change. Change is categorically not possible with a No vote, and nobody on the No side has suggested a viable alternative.

This is a fact that the no voters are happy to just ignore, all of us voting yes are willing to accept that any government can do this, and it's a gamble we're willing to take if it means we get the rights to our own bodies back (I say back, I was born in Sept '83 so I've never actually had it)

I think there was a few crossed wires about that.

A poster introduced a story about her mother into the thread and after a few replies and quotes the personal angle got dropped and people (you) replied to the scenario.

The OP then took the replies to the scenario personally when at that point people had moved on from the specific to the general.

    Are you for real ?

Do you know how many people have ended their lives due to bullying on social media ?

You remind me of the bully who made my early teens hell, every time she was had up for it (sadly not that often) her line was "oh it's only a joke"; her mother advised me to "get a thicker skin, it's just a laugh".

If you think making fun of a physical, mental, emotional or educational condition is no big deal, I really do feel sorry for you.

I see the latest posters around here are

A nation that kills children in the womb has lost its soul, with a picture of Mammy Theresa.

I guess "There is something beautiful in seeing the poor accept their lot, to suffer it like Christ’s Passion. The world gains much from their suffering" wouldn't have been as good an idea.

I'd say none whatsover. My father was one of four (in 5 and a bit years) but he had classmates with siblings in the double figures.

Where did I mock anyone with a disability? Please don't imply I'm doing things I'm not, it sickens me.

A Macedonian-born Albanian citizen who most of the posters voting No would want "sent back".

They just cannot help themselves bringing religion into it, inconvenient as it is for the people who insist this is nothing to do with the RCC.

In Cork there are some newish ones with some of the 1916 leaders and a tricolour, "They said cherish ALL the children of the nation" I'm not sure that "what would Padraig Pearse do?" is a good guide to life's challenges...
