    Good advice Rob!

I'm idly curious I have to say - there's a poster who isn't commenting but who thanks EVERY single "No" post, even the dodgy one, but doesn't comment.

I'm not delving of course, not my place but I am curious!!

The funny thing is that if you look at the posts this certain person who resides at the end of a path or something, you will notice that she does not know what she is thanking, she is thanking posts on both sides across various threads without even reading the posts or links within! She is a disgrace...

There is a new together for yes fundraiser for online.
It is badly needed I totally agree.
    http://donate.togetherforyes.ie/
It has also zoomed up to 23k in a very short space of time!

I have already chipped in btw :)

I donated and shared on social media, the donations are flying in.

I reported the first 2 No ads i seen as misleading and haven't seen one since.

That's the problem. We won't see them. Undecided voters who's details they've phished using fake sites like undecided8 will be relentlessly targeted with them in the coming days. They probably even know which angle will be most convincing to different individuals.

Anybody out canvassing for Yes? Doorstep conversations really help to dispel all the misinformation.

I am happy enough to see them, better me than someone who might actually believe them, I am only wasting their advertising money!

I had a Yes campaigner out not long back - we had a good chat, but I didn't want to hold them up as I'm already a Yes but they have good facts to hand and I was very impressed with our local canvassers.

In fairness, I thank posts from both sides, too. Yes posters who post something I really like, and No posters who reveal their true thinking by accident every now and then.

Just show you how much people care about this!
Sick of constant No adverts EVERYWHERE online.
Plus it will upset John Mc Guirk probably so bonus!
Plus, sharing it on social media and sites like this will also spike the donations.

Went to the guards station yesterday with a colleague who needed to register last minute.
We were in a queue for about 15 minutes waiting to be seen, with a long line of 20 something year olds ahead of us.
I can't help but feel hopeful after seeing that.

That and the queues at universities are so terrific to see they really could make all the difference I think.

No canvassers showed up yesterday on the doorstep. Respectfully advised them that, as both of us were voting yes, I wouldn't waste their time and paper.

His response was the usual "Think of the little babies."
I said that I had my views which I wouldn't argue with him and said I had a little baby upstairs who we'd just put her to bed so I'd rather not risk waking her.
His (frankly weird) response: "Would you not look into her eyes?"

Honestly, is that all the No canvassers have? "Think of the little babies"?

Yes that is literally all they have!
They can't engage in logic arguments because it's an utterly hypocritical situation, they can't talk about women because the 8th affects women negatively, they can't even really talk about the 8th at all as the 8th doesn't regulate abortion, without it abortion would still be largely unavailable, they have nothing but dead baby talk

I'm afraid so, even when I discussed my health issues and how the 8th affected them and that there's zero chance a foetus would be anywhere near me - it's still "save the babbies".

Apologies to the people who are totally sick of hearing me tell this anecdote but in my teens when I first decided to confront, and make up my mind about, the issue of abortion I decided to seek out and talk to people on both sides of the issue.

In those days there was a weekly set of stalls outside Central Bank Dublin, replete with all the dead fetus pictures, that was against abortion. So I set aside an entire Saturday to go talk to them. To sit with them and hear all they had to say.

So I walked up to them, told them I was aware that being some form of "atheist" and "Liberal" I had noticed my position on abortion was undecided and I did not want to take the "default" position for most of my peers. I wanted to hear the arguments.

"Look at the pictures" I was told. I said I had indeed seen them all, and was now waiting to hear all the ideas and arguments they had about abortion.

"Looooook at the pictureees maaaaan" I was told in a kinda drawl you would associate with a complete stoner. So basically I had a whole Saturday morning and afternoon to fill with something else. I went off to Rhythm Records as I recall and spend a couple of hours there obsessing over which 4pound live show bootleg of Van Morrison I should buy out of the near 100 on offer. As I recall I got a copy of a great show from New York with John Lee Hooker as special guest.

So yes, that does appear to be all they have. It is all I got that day. All you are getting from the canvassers. And pretty much all I have gotten from 98% of everyone against abortion or reproductive rights since. And the other 2%? Well I guess refer back to my post a little earlier today about the "top" posts by these users.

You stated many falsehoods. I did not use the word "disgusting" but you said I did.

You and your ilk are disgusting. Not anything or anyone else, and i refuse to fall victim to your bating. Have a good life and I hope - despite my hatred for you and your ilk - that you or those you love never fall foul of the negative impact of the 8th.

Don't bother replying as you're on ignore now (first person i ever used that little feature for) so I won't see it.

And you also threw a hissy fit when I quoted your posts from a different AH thread, and continued to abuse me and accuse me of many false, slanderous things. What's your point? Maybe the person wasn't wrong.

    But you're still here.

    Abusive again.

Literally all I can see in your posts now is your use of this word.

No idea what point you make, just see the passive aggressive attack each time.

Its like when someone is shouting and you cant hear what they are saying because you can only hear they are shouting.

Good way to make your posts absolutely irrelevant.

Mocking and belittling people's traumatic miscarriages is all I see. Hard to forget that. Coming hot on the heels of several drive by #loveboth posts too iirc. Insane.

Shows a lack of respect, using a lower case "g" for God there.

Mods, now that we're in the last leg of the race, would it be time to add another poll?
I'd be very interested to see the result.

Always reminds me of this, and since the thread needs the occasional injection of humor to keep us sane I think it timely to link to it :)

I was called a c**t on a link posted and nothing was done even though i reported the post. They should have just called it the pro repeal thread and made a pro life thread.Would have saved the fighting and name calling.
And I was personally attacked by "someone" over my own personal views of a miscarriage that my partner suffered.

    Buddy :)

    S/he actively mocked a poster's experience of a miscarriage.

I like to imagine the guy from the TV program Stop, Search, Seize that works at Dublin airport. It's quite fun.

Why do all the NO posters have the same trends as the (now on my ignore list so cannot see her posts, and it is great) anne frank user.

Play the victims, when they are out of "reasonable" debate.

Of course you don't see how which just about sums up this thread. AF complained of someone calling her a C**t and Elm said maybe they weren't wrong and you can't see that's abusive. Fine if that's the level we're at. Even one person from the yes side called Elm out on the namecalling but most people thanked Elm for his abusive posts.

    "Yes last period, yesterday"

    X-Ray is Friday.
