Anyone bought a protective case for this phone which is good for absorbing shock from a drop etc and is not uncomfortable to hold?

£179 on Amazon just now - sold by Amazon...

Trigger finger hovering, but my head is turned by the WHYRED new Xiaomi coming soon..

There doesn't seem to be much between the two phones? I've ordered a WHYRED and thinking of cancelling to order a mi a1.

Check your Windows device manager for correct drivers for the device.

You may need to download them and update.

Don't have a Mi A1, but successfully unlock my Kenzo, two years ago, when I got it.

I've had my A1 for about a month now.

    2 issues:
    1) Call quality is absolutely terrible - anyone else have this?
    2) The camera is appealing (particularly when zooming on video)

Has anyone had these issues and is there a fix?

Not being smart but did you set the USB settings (not debugging) - settings >>connected devices>>USB>>[select setting]

Re call quality, I've been having terrible problems with fluctuating signal ever since the bad snow!It can go to being very strong to nothing back to very strong again in a flash. I've lost many calls as a result. I'm not sure if the phone is at fault or my provider. (Lyca Mobile) When I got the phone first people would sometimes comment that it was difficult to hear me sometimes but that hasn't been the case lately.

I've hardly used the camera at all so can't comment on video issues.

"Same problems with my mi Max 2,that's another reason I'm giving up on Chinese phones "

I'm not sure this logic stands up.

Chinese phones are using the same Android operating systems and semiconductors as all the other android suppliers.

It's much more likely to be an issue with your PC than the phone.

    the youtube app woks fine.

for casting/screen mirroring wouldn't work, at first .
I kept trying to connect the tv and phone and it connected after about 10 tries. Since then it now connects first time.

We can just continue to buy from china/EU warehouses the same as we are now if that's the case.

Interesting that that the new Nokia P6 has Android One.

£225 for 32g version (plus free Google Home Mini Speaker), so a fair bit pricier than the A1.

Seems very like the A1 spec.

I was looking at that phone before getting the miA1. China got a 4gb ram/64gb hard drive model which didn't come to Europe. Couldn't justify what I thought was the safer option after that. Month in and still happy with the choice!

Although I need a cover, too slippery, any suggestions?
