Started and finished Portal. It's been in my library for ages just never got round to playing it.
Didn't realise how short is was going to be to finish so I'll definitely go back at some stage to finish off all the extras.

Started Spec Ops:The Line last night.
Combat is pretty easy but enjoyable.
Enjoying the story and especially like that the intelligence collectables give you background info. Gives you a reason to collect them.
Also graphically it's gorgeous. Can't believe it's 6 years old.

Portal 2 also worth a shot; relatively cheap at this stage i should think!

Yeah that's in the library too. :D
Got the portal collection in a steam sale a while back for around €2

Figured I'd make sure I'd completed everything in Portal 1 before moving on to Portal 2

    Did similar with X-Com and X-Com 2.

My game time is limited/inconsistent so shorter length was a positive :D

Portal 2 one of the best games ever IMHO - the mechanics are fun, but the story and voice acting really set it apart and make the overall experience one to treasure. I very very rarely replay games but probably have played through three times and will do so again in the future.

I've just got a new gaming PC (gone from a decent GTX 760 to a very nice GTX 1070) so have finally started into the one remaining Witcher 3 DLC I've outstanding, Blood and Wine. Obviously have maxed out the graphical options, looks amazing. Only played about two hours so far but it is more of the excellent Witcher 3 action we all know and love.

I finished Ori and the Blind Forest again. I completed 95% this time, which is unusually high for me.

Now I'm replaying Saints Row 3 again. I played it years ago but had lots of issues with CPU overheating which messed up the framerate quite a lot. I'm enjoying it again and its buttery smooth this time.
I like this game better than Saints Row 4 where the plot was a bit OTT. I'd like another sequel but please no aliens lol. I heard Saints Row II was great but never played it.

I'd nearly rather Saints Row 3 myself too, 4 is just super crazy with the super powers, although it is fun though.

I tried to play Saints Row 2 a few years back, didn't really get too far on it considering it's a bit dated now.

As for me, it's Deus Ex Mankind Divided. On my 2nd playthrough, then after that it's the DLC and after that I'm going to chance my arm going back to the original.

:D jumped back into it for abit there awhile ago. Had to uninstall. Too easy to jump on for few rounds and whittle away the day :pac:

Now trying to complete Darkest Dungeon and They Are Billions.

I have 100 hours in D&D and still can't get to the end and 30 hours in TAB and still haven't got past the first map. Love these tough games!

Ah sure it took me ages to do it as well. And never progressed past map 2! Although now there's been extra features added, I may go back to it......

Besides playing SWTOR, I've been playing Shadowrun: Hong kong, which much like the previous two shadowrun
offerings by harebrained schemes has not disappointed thus far. Story line is great and immersive. Feels quite long as a campaign too which is always good.

I have also been playing Descenders, which I'm having a good laugh with. Helps if you're a fan of mountain biking perhaps (which I am). The physics are cruel and uncompromising, and first-person perspective mode does convey a sense of what hurtling downhill can actually seem like.

Been away on holidays for a week and now with the fantastic weather I have no interest in gaming at all. Think I was playing Pillars of Eternity and Dishonored 2.
Dishonoureds game world has to be one of the best ive seen. Brilliant.

rainbow 6 siege, hadnt played it since a few months after the first 2 new operators were released, but really enjoying it, seems fairly well balanced, and the new maps are good. plus the competetive scene seems to be thriving.

Just fnished Zelda Links Awakening, nice game like I remember. Bits of the overworld are a chore to navigate back and forth. The game is a nice follow up to A Link to the Past which is a classic.

Insurgency is a really nice indie game

Jumped back into Kingdom Come Delierince. It's the most immersive game I've ever played. I usually hate "realistic" elements like having to eat and sleep but for whatever reason I have no problem doing it with this.

Batman: Arkham Knight. I've an abysmal habit of starting games and abandoning them about two thirds of the way through. I think I'm going to 100% this if I can. I'd heard that the Batmobile had been overused but only found that to be only slightly true though that's just my opinion. It does seem to have something missing though. Mark Hamill's joker feels phoned in this time and represents something of a missed opportunity. That said, the gameplay is probably the best in the series and is probably why I haven't gotten bored of the game yet.

    I really enjoyed it.
Still have to go back and get the last few riddler trophies. They're the biggest negative in the game. Way too many.

I waited til it was fixed and I really enjoyed Arkham Knight tbh. Apart from the mystery (initially) about how to get the real ending. I did have to turn the difficulty down on the hardest bits of the bat mobile and I thought there were too many bits but you could see why they tried to shake up the formula.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,538 ✭✭✭Mr Crispy

    Are the Batmobile bits mandatory?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,935 ✭✭✭eyerer

    Yes they're throughout the story

    Havent played it since.

Didn't think the Batmobile was too bad and it was nice to use for some of the puzzles. The Ace Chemicals section at the start of the game really put me off as I felt I couldn't go more than a few steps without needing it. The worst was being lowered down an elevator shaft. I mean, Batman has a grapple gun for this sort of thing, no?

I never dealt with the technical issues as I only got my new rig at the end of last year and it runs better than anything else I have tried on it at about 90fps.

Just finished up on Dishonoured 2. Great game. Id love to give it another play through as the other character but have too many games to get through.
Quit Pillars of Eternity about 4 hours in. Could not be arsed playing.

Going to give Fallout 4 or The Surge a go now.
