If Shanahan can put in a performance we might.

But realistically it's a bonus point win or nothing for Ulster.

Yeah, even a LBP for Edinburgh will put it out of reach completely unfortunately. And they'll know exactly what they need to do ahead of their game against Glasgow. So a TBP win for Ulster and nothing at all for Edinburgh is what Ulster need.

Are the games not all at the same time? I thought they had to be on the final day. That's a bit unfair.

Not this year. Not sure why.

Becuase TV audiences are the primary concern not teams or fans

If that's the case it's a very strange decision to clash with the CL final for the final.

nope it is just that it is the last in pecking order after English Premiership Final and the CL Final

nobody cares if Celtic rugby fans are inconvenienced once English fans are not

Doesn't seem likely. Didn't he just start with Bordeaux this season?

Heard that rumor as well from a Belfast friend this morning, and now starting to make sense with him announcing today that he’s leaving Bordeaux

What’s the verdict if it is true?

Few French outlets saying his future with Bordeaux is gone.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 691 ✭✭✭$ausage$

Source pretty reliable and second independent source also confirmed so I would give it a 70/80% chance.

I don't have a clue about either of them.

I can only hope for the best

If it's Davidson I'd imagine there's a touch of who Ulster could get rather than who they wanted.

Was thinking that? But people still stating Friends as DOR. Just hope it doesn’t turn out another jobs for the boys!

Could Davidson be Caretaker for one season and then step back to forwards?

He did a good job at Stade Aurillacois by all accounts.

No absolutely not! We've done the whole caretaker crap while waiting for someone else to take over. We need to appoint someone now and stick with them for 2-3 years.

The 'Friend' meme from inbetweeners is about to make a stunning comeback.

Well if Friends end up running Ulster does that mean we get both Ross and Joey?????:D

If Ulster are looking for an experienced quality 10 for a season to help bring McPhillips through, would Stephen Donald be an option? Or Stephen Brett?

I would take him just to see the incomprehension on his face if we could persuade journos to do that at press conferences. "ooooh frieeend"

Donald was supposed to come for the end of the season, post Lealifano, and then promptly got injured. Dunno if he is contracted at the moment - he has links to Gibbes, which presumably helped swing his signing.

They really are taking their time with the coaching situation. Maybe, they'll get it right.
I am ecstatic to see Gilroy back. Hope he has a stormer. Think Ulster will win with nbp.
