Chinese here, sadly closed now , done a melt in the mouth , Mongolian Style Beef . Your dish reminded me of it , happy cooking !

Ya sly little devil! Mongolian beef is a dish I've only ever had once in a restaurant in England back in my wild days. Feckin massive. I've looked at recipes and want to try it. Share your tips please.;)

For the record, I had marinaded beef in the fridge from last night so tried a beef in oyster sauce dish tonight with egg fried rice. A great welcome home dish after a few pints. Happy now as Mrs G had a nice feed earlier and I've just put little G to bed happy. May have a bottle of beer!

A Quarter Pounder with cheese meal LARGE and a skinny coke.:D I wouldn't say no to it on a Friday night! I remember the days when I would drink copious amounts of Guinness and then demolish TWO Big Mac meals.:D

Nah , it was probably me who phrased it wrong , sorry :)

It was a dish I'd have as a special treat tbh , although I'd quite happily have settled for just the veg and sauce if I had to !

Bet it turns out great for you , you'll be presenting Masterchef soon !!

Early dinner at 4 today. We had wrap pizzas, some slices with fresh mozzarella and basil, other slices with feta and olives. Served with Tescos spicy cauliflower bites, roast broccoli and a quinoa salad. Clean plates all 'round.

Then after little fella went to bed, I had a small bowl of nachos with jarred salsa, jalapeños and natural yoghurt. A glass of Shiraz.

Same as my little boy. Did you have them hot or cold? When you ask him if he wants them (or porridge) hot or cold he replies "not to hot, not too cold but juuuuust right"

Graces, you removed your post about my dinner last night. Have you decided that you don't give up after all? :)

I'm still in bed but I can smell coffee.

Edit: I had just posted when the bedroom door opened and I was brought brown soda bread dipped in egg and fried and a nice strong coffee.
