It may be Wednesday, but not all lives revolve around the same routine. My life is akin to a soap opera at times. Never dull.:D Beef, roast spuds/veg,stuffing and gravy.

I had time today for cooking a real humdinger, yet comforting dinner. Nothing flash. Slow roasted eye of the round beef, roast spuds done according to a recipe Jamie Oliver gave me in a Soho club before he was famous. Par boiled, fluffed in the pot, rosemary and thyme and into the oven. I believe the fecker still does them that way except with Goose fat. I roasted carrots and parsnips. Got some homemade stuffing from a local shop. I hate making homemade gravy, but won't use granules. The compromise? Schwartz beef gravy mix made up in a pot. Sorry for long post, but it was bloody great!

Midweek pints cancelled so its a couple of bottles of Hop House 13.

Just coffee ... today the food siege will end, if all goes well, so choices are limited.. More coffee of course, then maybe porridge...

The food at Young SVP earlier was basically sandwiches mainly filled with stuff I didn't want to eat surrounding crisps.

There was still nice stuff like orange squash and a dark chocolate berry snackbar.
