You can't change DNS settings on vm hub 3.0

Does anyone know can you change the dns settings on a Vodafone fibre broadband router?

Does this work with netflix on my pc? And if it does, do i just engage the vpn, and run netflix? Or do i need a USA or UK account?

Just engage the California server and you’re good to go. A simple check to see if you’re actually on US flix - Search for the office US. If you find it, you’re in.

Been looking into this all evening as I also have an LG smart TV and an older Virgin router. I think it will require getting another ddwrt capable router and bridging with the Virgin one.

Before I go buying another router, can anyone confirm am I right in what I say above?

I have a Technicolor TC7200.u router/modem from Virgin for my broadband but from what I've read and looking at the config, I will need to buy another router and bridge it with the virgin one in order to successfully get the VPN working at the router level.

Same. Is there a way to get a VPN working on a smart tv?

I already have Virtual Shield that I got for 50 for the year.
How is this so low for a lifetime?

They are running a relatively simple service, almost like an ISP in its own right, focusing on just allowing people to surf over different IP addresses for the few big reasons, Netflix, etc. but not much focus on what would cost a bit more, decent wider servers, better privacy protections and so on.

I suspect they also know most people will drift after a year or so, freeing up the servers for the next marketing round.

Just go it, keen to hear how people get on with Fire TV.

Working on a Xiaomi mibox, BBC player and Netflix us. Basically used Netflix stream server and the BBC player server.
Not much success with Amy other server bar the Vietnam one.

What part ? How far did you get ? What equipment are you using ?

Very tempted to get this. Was following the Getflix saga and seeing as I predominantly use Amazon Fire devices in my house, that was no use to me.

Like some others on here, I too have the Virgin 3.0 hub and Fire devices, so looking forward to see how they get on with this.

Would sign up for the trial first but I'm on holidays at the moment so can't test anything.

I see this offer ends in 2 days, should I just take the plunge? A bit wary of purchasing anything given the issues people had on the other thread with Getflix and given the fact that Stack Social don't seem to do refunds.

I am looking for exact same thing (DO NOT buy the Getflix offer - it is for browser only despite what the ad said!).
On VM hub 3.0 and want amazon fire tv (netflix us and iplayer)...i am planning on getting trial tonight will test and report back.

I jumped in last night with paid version, BBC Iplayer and US Netflix working on iphone anyway, didn't get a chance to test much else

Stack Social offer for VPN Unlimited comes around very often (if not pretty much permanently?)...

Got it on an impulse this morning and it works great on my phone. Watched a bit of US Netflix and worked great.
The android app is also very slick and does a great job.

If this works with my Chromecast tonight, it will have been a brilliant €15.03 well spent.

hey, I downloaded this to my Samsung phone. Logged into the VPN and then logged into my Netflix. The Office USA is there, but when I press play, it says "You seem to be using an unblocker or proxy. Please turn these off and try again"....any ideas?
    cheers
    wac

edit: sorry...see the option to select Netflix now...thanks

I couldn't get it to work via Chromecast, but in have a vm hub, so possibly not helping, but my Chromecast is plugged into the smart tv in the bedroom anyway so I prob can stream direct to the telly anyway.

For some reason netflix on my android box still goes to the Irish one even thought the VPN for the American server is set properly and connected. Checked on Chrome on it and it is locating me in America. Same server works on my phone with netflix but not on this, weird!

Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Some disheartening reviews for this, similar can be found on Google

    https://ie.trustpilot.com/review/stacksocial.com

    Like I said scammy

Installed easy peasy on amazon fire TV
Can pick location easy enough (though hard to tell what your clicking on)
Issue seems to be that certain locations are over capacity for Netflix Hulu but I got working not too hard bar picking location .... I picked BBC i player too and it worked not a bother!!
This is already better than getflix!

To be completely fair, those reviews are for the company stacksocial, and not for the product they are selling (on this occasion) which is vpn unlimited.

They've done the same for multiple companies

This is a great job, thank you OP. Works a dream on Sony android tv, just log out of Netflix, clear cache and good to go

Yeah, I got burnt by the cnuts for getflix, but I've tried the free trial via this service, and paid for it (through gritted teeth) but it seems to be what it says on the tin (on this occasion) so far.

    No, absolutely not.

Get your refund in full via resolution centre (assuming you paid via paypal)

In my Case I purchased this for $18 but used a different email address.
