You are most likely right. However as there is no VPN Unlimited client for an Apple Time Capsule or Airport Extreme product, I had no way to put the VPN Unlim. settings directly on the router. As the network settings on the Humax box are locked down (you can only connect to an existing network with no manual configuration option), a second network using the travel router from Amazon using OpenVPN settings was the most efficient solution.

I have the same humax box so this solution seems the best bet. I want to connect a firestick with netflix on it but of course I want to be able to change US vs UK easily. Can this be done through a web login on a computer etc?

If I sign up, can I use the service with Kodi does anybody know?

Is there much difference between the various ones on amazon doodah? They have a yellow one for 19 which looks same thing

Changing regions should be easy enough. You can install multiple VPN profiles on the router and you can choose which one to use through the router’s web interface.

I think the difference between the different ones on Amazon is to do with the RAM for processing streams and also the wifi power output.

Just incase anyone else was wondering, yes you can indeed use this with Kodi via the Zomboided VPN Manager addon. Works perfectly.

edit: You have to actually enter it and not copy and paste

I didn't try on Android, I tried on a Raspberry Pi running librelec (Kodi 17.6). I see though VPN Unlimited have a page dedicated to Android boxes, which presumably run Kodi? - https://www.vpnunlimitedapp.com/en/info/manuals/how-to-configure-android-tv-box

Turns out my woes are due to generation 1 firesticks not supported. Support was very quick in fairness

Yeah.. I've been looking at ways of getting any VPN working with a Gen 1 Firestick but don't think it's viable without having a router in which you can configure a VPN there at the source.

Have 2 x 1st Firestick's and an Nvidia Shield so am looking for an option for all 3 - even if the 2 Firestick's require an additional router or bridge, I'm considering going that way.

I saw that one but people who use them suggest the 28 pound one is better

The Hampshire one works well for iplayer.

Tried them all using the latest app and none of them worked. Keep on getting not available

Tried it there, not working without VPN as expected, works perfectly with the hampshire iplayer streaming turned on

It's letting me browse Netflix USA on my phone but it won't connect to my Chromecast anymore. Any ideas why? I use sky broadband.

Did it ever connect to your Chromecast with VPN Unlimited? I thought the Chromecast uses Google's own DNS etc so a VPN can't be used.

It worked fine a few weeks ago. Tried a few different USA servers and no luck.

Stupidly I was waiting for my current subscription to expire and in the meantime missed out on this.

I'd love if anyone could give another coupon or link to similar deal.

Guys anyone know why this would be working flawlessly on my shield, with both us netflix and BBC iPlayer, but will only seem to work for Netflix on my firestick?

Is there s location setting in the Fire stick I'm missing or something?

    Cheers.
