It should be a 30,000 plus attendance, might help if the Indo got the ground capacity correct.

No need for these abusive posts, I'm sure the rules apply to you too!

Great interview with Andy. Hanley will certainly add.

I hear a few more leaving the panel.

The only bit of game time they got during the course of the league as far I can recall was coming on as substitutes in the later stages of the Galway game.

It has been very very difficult for both players to make the breakthrough in an area where Mayo have so much depth.I was surprised McDonagh wasn't given greater opportunities considering Ger Cafferkey's struggles at full back.In contrast Caolan Crowe and Eoin O Donoghue are now fighting for starting positions.

No tickets on sale for May 13th,speculation re the crowd size on the behalf of the Connacht council secretary John Prenty.

    Disappointing day at headquarters.

    Rice College 1-9 St. Ronan's 1-10

    Cracking contest.

St. Nathy's lost to Cookstown 0-19 to 1-6.

Where you getting that figure from?

That's the figure I've always heard quoted.

    Wikipedia quotes same.

    Conflicting figures.

Mayo News report that both Jason Gibbons and Alan Freeman have been released from the panel whilst James Durkan, brother of Paddy, has joined the Development squad.

It’s on the fixtures page of the GAA website. I’d imagine it’s scheduled for TV so they’ll be calling the shots for throw in times.

Surely that's Freeman's last act in a Mayo jersey so. Great servant, semi final v Tyrone in 2013 sticks out (but will probably be most remembered for that infamous substitution in the 2013 final)

I would have held on to him but perhaps its no harm to give lads like Durcan a go at this stage instead

They took him off * and put on M Conroy, who didn't exactly set the world on fire.

In the run up to the game, Freeman was sick with the flu (alledgedly) and had a big row with Horan (alledgedly) in the tunnel/on the bus/back at the hotel, about getting the curly finger. Said row made it into the public domain.

( * It is entirely possible, I am getting my finals mixed up. Ye've been in so many of them.)

Freeman wasn't sick, even though that's what the rumour was. Thought he was having a decent game that day too. Horan could have waited a longer before bringing on Conroy.

Yeah 2013 final, he was having a fine game then taken off abruptly and Mayo barely won a ball in the full forward line afterwards.

It was a large discussion point in the aftermath at the time - he was MOTM in the semi and was getting the better of O'Carroll that day until that point.

Was never really able to hold down his place since. I always felt he had a bit more to offer

Thats funny that he is gone(freeman) as I hear he is paying really well with the club. I think he had loads of opportunities to nail the FF position over the years but he never could get to grips with it. I was always disappointed with him for some reason as I felt he had great potential but never delivered to the degree where he was core to the forwards.
