Jam/compote/preserves can work with cheese so sweet + cheese is not an automatic no-no. Not sure about the interaction of cinnamon and cheese though

Trust me, that was a great and shall we say, dire, mistake! Please do not try it

Cheese and cake and apple pie is great.. But not this!

    Ah well! Live and learn

I have given the cook a day off.. I do not count the hearty leek and chicken wing "stoup" that has simmered slowly the while as that is not really cooking)

So my Easter feast is in the microwave.. a rather fine ready meal from dunne's . Salmon, creamed potatoes, creamed turnip, peas and parley sauce, with of course
    a portion of salmon..

Followed, probably much later by a raspberry sponge pudding, with custard, yes, ready made ;)

Two battered fillets of lemon and parsley yellowfin sole. Don't really like unbattered fish.

A big Easter dinner followed by a bottle of red wine and a Guinness Easter egg.

I brought one of the dogs (the other is a lazy bitch) for a six KM walk earlier to work up an appetite, so he's panned out beside me and I'm just about to start on the can's of Parlenbacher weissbier, and maybe a ham sambo later (and probably an online drunken political debate later lol )

Porridge with cinnamon, and coffee and looking out across a rainy and wind swept Portmarnock, and trying to decide whether to run on the beach this morning or head to the warmth and comfort of the gym.

It has been like spaghetti junction here this morning, with so many people coming and going. Breakfast was eaten on the hoof and it feels like some elements were missed in the activity.
It's a bit early for the coffee break but I've a sugar craving that a few biscuits may cure and caffeine in certainly desired right now.
