Why was she crying and hysterical after it if she wanted it
That's the same argument as, "Why didn't she fight back if she didn't want it".

You cannot infer a state of mind from someone's actions. It's possible to consent to an act, but be overcome immediately with regret afterwards. Plenty of people do, and they've only had sex with one person.

The presence of alcohol means that wild swings into hysterical crying or unreasonable anger are far more likely than if you're sober.

I do. I'm not sure what that has to do with it. If anything, it strengthens my point? Why would a perceived miscarriage of justice inspire someone to try to lie to win?

Heard Jackson will sue the labour senator over alleged tweet, rightly so.

I think the main reason is, it happened in a different country!
In Ireland the defendants only get named if found guilty, so in reality if this happened in Ireland. We would not of heard about it unless it was leaked.

They were not named in the rap bus case but it was reported on every day with radio silence from the feminists. I wonder why, I really do. Almost as if middle class white men are fair game?

Have you ever wanted to be gangbanged in every hole?

    PORN IS NOT REAL!!!

And is another problem. It gives men violent norms if how to treat women.

Why was she crying and hysterical after it if she wanted it

Some men and women are very open to doing things sexually.
People often do things and can have regrets/feel upset after words.

Not quite. He's issued "pre-action libel correspondence", which I'd take to be a 'retract those remarks or we'll sue'. Although I could be well off the mark.

It'd be a very interesting case. In which jurisdiction would it be held and what would Jackson actually sue for? Aodhán Ó Riordáin's 'I believe her' seems to be the strongest part of his statement and is Jackson therefore going to sue the thousands of people who turned up to march during the week?

Me personally? Well no...I have felt neither the need to be a gangbanger nor a gangbangee.....

That's not to say it doesn't happen though. My wife was at a hen party recently where one of the (married) bridesmaids disappeared fairly early on in the evening. Turned out later (by her own admission) she went to have her 'nose powdered' and her 'fancies tickled' by 4 random lads in a different hotel

And this is a woman who's married with kids, if you saw her at the school pickup you wouldn't look at her twice.

Now I don't know how common this is but it does happen.

Men don't have any interest in women who won't put out for them. That goes without saying.

I find men boring because they generally approach women solely on that basis and with the kind of infantile talk witnessed in those text messages.

If a woman wants a "partner" she has to put up with this cr@p at the early stages.

You clearly don't know any men that I know or are lost in a social media world!

As an aside, can I just express my sympathies for the poor mod(s) keeping an eye on this thread?

I'm envisioning a pretty stressed out person, collar undone, sleeves rolled up, 3 monitors with boards, twitter and various news sites.
Overflowing ashtrays lots of cursing praying and sighing

Correction; It gives some men violent norms....

    Too much generalizing going on.

I kind of agree with them proceeding. Aodhan is a senator representing our country, they, if anyone, should respect court results.

What's Aodhán Ó Ríordáin getting sued for?
    Calling them smug?

I'd say they have an uphill battle.

Have you ever wanted to be gangbanged in every hole?

You're naive if you think there are not women who like to engage in threesomes and the like.
    PORN IS NOT REAL!!!

Some is, some isn't. A site like Kink.com for example is dedicated to only hiring women who are into those specific type of scenes. They are interviewed before and after. Lots of female producer and directors work for them. The narrative that porn is this male driven machine which only men consume is antiquated nonsense. Lots of women love porn. The rough stuff too. Worth noting also that much of the rough sex porn online these days on the tube sites is amateur in nature.
And is another problem. It gives men violent norms if how to treat women.

    And femdon porn?

(Google: 'kink.com divinebitches' if not sure what that is)

How do you feel about that? Is that okay? Or is it only porn where women are being dominated that you're against.
Why was she crying and hysterical after it if she wanted it

Well, the chap that dropped her home said he got the impression she felt rejected and regretted doing what she did. She was clearly nicked at some point and that could have upset her if true. What girl wouldn't be mortified at something like that happening to them.

But the crucial point for me is that the girl that heard the moaning and took a look into the room, seen nothing to suggest she wasn't consenting. I have no problem with anyone disagreeing with the verdict if they are arguing their opinion based on the evidence but there really doesn't seem to be anything to suggest the woman here was raped and to be quite honest, her evidence came across like she wasn't being honest. Much of her answers seemed like rehearsed things she had read. It was almost like she wanted to wanted to make a point all the time about how it feels when girls are raped and have to give evidence but yet she was supposed to be the one that was raped.

One of the lawyers put that to her and it she got really angry but it was only a matter of time before one of them did given they way she was talking.

Delighted. That was an astonishingly stupid tweet for someone on his platform to send out.

Yeah but the content of that tweet would appear, well....I'm not going to repeat it obviously if there are legal proceedings, but I think Jackson's lawyers could have a tough time making anything sticking in court having seen the tweet myself.

If she was open to things sexually, why did she tell her friends she was raped the next day. Go to the rape crisis centre.

How does that make any sense?

This country has a problem with rape.

After so many celebrities in the internet age have pursued similar action which then keeps the story fresh in the news, further galvanizes opinion and ultimately won't do his reputation any favours, you'd think people would learn to just keep the head down and let it blow over. Pick your battles like.

Thought this was crucial in the early stages. Talking in the third person like she had read up on victims accounts.

"You freeze when you're being raped". Not, "I froze". "You dont know what to do in that situation". Not, "I didn't know what to do".

And then two minutes after it was put to her, she was asked another question, and she did it again.

And stupid and all as O'Riordans tweet was, it was nowhere near the most defamatory thing I've seen this week regarding the case.

Hearing about the senator getting sued for his words gave me a thought. Does this mean the legal system has decided the defendant lied under oath, and therefore could take actions to prosecute? If not, surely it downgrades their confidence in the decision made?

Suppose people don't like being publicly called rapists after they have been found not guilty of rape
