Just when you thought it was safe to start listening to Redskins radio again.....

    https://twitter.com/adamschefter/status/960142590531293184

Personally I can't see it happening as the risks are too big but you never know with Snyder/Allen making the decisions.

A team would be even crazier to make a trade for him. Would end up paying $34m for the year and he could walk from you after the season is up. I don't think even the Browns would do that to themselves.

Just seems a bit petty by the Redskins. Just let him go when the time allows and quit with the drama.

Nate Sudfeld has a Superbowl ring!

Don’t think many of us had that at the start of training camp.

Kirk trying to get every last penny before he goes

    https://twitter.com/kirkcousins8/status/960974226428715008

Seriously though, who on earth would buy these?

Franchize Kirk, **** it whats to lose other than 35 odd million.

Too many Qb needy teams in the league. One of them will negotiate a long term with Kirk and trade a first round or second rounder to the Redskins for him.

That seems to be the thought process in head office. Is it any wonder we're f***ed every year. Spent the €35 million bringing in Bell, offer him 15 a year for the next 4 years. Then we have a team that could win now.

Having just watched the recent 30 for 30, I think it’s nice that the ‘scabs’ from the 1987 season are finally getting Super Bowl rings.

That performance against Dallas in their last game, knowing they’d be back on the streets the next day, was amazing.

Have to agree there Jack. It wont be long until our baseball allegiances lead us in different directions but those 87 scabs deserved their rings!

    I've heard it called worse.

    I believe it's a piss take though :)

Delighted to see the lads get superbowl rings.

Free agency activity so far (apart from the Cousins/Smith deals)

    Breeland - gone to Panthers
    Grant - gone to Ravens
    Hopkins - re-signed
Richardson - WR comes in from Seattle.

Wilkerson who was rumored to be close to signing ended up signing with GB so they’ll still be chasing somebody for there too.

    Today:

    Spencer Long - Jets
    Trent Murphy - Bills

Sad to see Murphy go, I liked him.

No news on anyone new coming in yet.

Murphy got paid well in fairness, especially for a guy coming off those injuries and a suspension.

Any word on Zach Brown?? Doesn't look like a Sua Cravens trade is happening any time soon... maybe during the draft I guess

I think Zac Brown's looking for the Brinks Truck to be backed up so he'll probably be gone too.

Brian 'the inappropriately named' Quick has re-signed apparently.

Yeah I'd say that's it :( would love him back. What else do we need in theory? Guess he fancies Moreau to step up at CB?

    How long have you got...????

Seriously though, I think they need quite a bit.

Running Back, OL, Front 7 on the defence, Secondary.

Wilkerson would have been nice and I'd love them to at least try and get the Honey Badger.

Was thinking Honey Badger myself, but it'd be a lot of money tied up in him and Norman.

I'm 'ok' with the RB room in theory, would rather spend the money elsewhere.

Richardson will be an interesting one at WR, decent chunk of change but hopefully he can stretch the field. Crazy payday for Grant too

Crazy pay day for Grant indeed. But because of it, the Redskins qualify in all likelihood for a compensatory draft pick next season (5th round) to go with the 3rd round one they're going to get for Cousins.

I'd say they'll wait for the draft to sort out the RB issue. And then it's pot luck.

I don't remember much of Richardson but I believe he's been injury plagues in his career so far so hopefully that's all behind him.

    Niles Paul - Jags

I think we can pick up a useful back in the draft for the RB position, we still have Thompson who will hopefully be fully fit and completed his rehab by pre season. We can definitely pick up a veteran as well to plug the gaps.

All in all though we've lost a huge amount of starters , with very little coming in as of yet.

Seen an interview with Alex Smith on the Redskins website. I'm genuinely happy we signed him. I think he's as good as Cousins and I think he'll work for the system we have. Looking forward to seeing him play now.

I think between Thompson, Perine and a vet... we should be OK at RB. Unless someone is still on the board in the 4th or 5th that is great value.

Definitely need to start making moves everywhere else though.

We do need to make some moves. Definitely cant address all our problems in the draft.

Suh is on the market.. and Mathieu. Both would be big bucks but would be game changers in my opinion.

Honey Badger said he wants to join a team with a winning culture. So he won’t be going to Washington then. Although he is friends with Sweringer who has been lobbying him to join the Redskins so we’ll see.

Suh has said the opposite and said it’s all about the money for him. No winning necessary! He has Albert Hanesworth written all over him I think so I hope they don’t go down that road.

As good as Thompson is, he’s not an every down back and I wouldn’t be happy with Perine as the lead guy so I hope they get a RB in the draft, and not waiting until the 6th or 7th round to do so.

I would like to see them go for a RB in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Suh was still very productive in Miami. I would take a chance on him. Short term contract for big money. We waste so much money on average players why not put him on a big contract for 2-3 years and see what happens.

Honey badger for me is exactly what our defence needs.

Suh signing would make me nervous!

Too many holes to fill to take an RB in the 2nd, and we've no 3rd this year. Agree it's not ideal, but we're not blessed with picks to burn this year. Short term deal for a Murray/Blount/Gore?
