Topofthegame wining would have been nice. I fancy Min @ 3:30, only because of Altior's injuries and issues on Monday.

Fancies for the rest of the day:

    15:30 Min
    16:10 Cause of Causes
    16:50 Mitchouka
    17:30 Blackbow

As long as Cause of Causes wins, my week is made. If Blackbow also wins it's become my best ever Cheltenham.

    Good luck all ;)

Lot of people on the Samcro/PP/Altior treble. Hopefully it comes in for everyone.

What a Champion. Unreal from Altior.

Mad how two miles looks too short for Altior but he still just devours the hill and wins easily. Absolute freak of a thing.

PP this morning had Samcro/Altio double at 3/1 - that should have been my only bet but Paddy knows I'm not that clever

Incredible break away at the end. Shame Douvan dropped as that would have been some finish to the race.

Douvan had them all at it and I think will win punchestown after his unlucky fall

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

Don't know how anyone can say Douvan would have won for definite. He was travelling lovely but it was too far out to call it. A year off might have told. shame we will never know.

paddy had it for 4/1 at one stage, i thew a bit on it and it covers me somewhat for not cashing out on my douvan treble.

(posted it earlier so not AT)

Altior was available at 7/2 before they climbed the hill.

    What a shame DOUVAN falling.

Still the question remains unanswered. Hopefully they will cross paths again

Shame Douvan took off half a furlong from the fence, could have been a brilliant finish.

Real class from Altior and cool head from Nico

no way could anyone have been confident that far out in fairness, not sure he'd have lived with altior up the hill either.

cheers, was just about to ask what price altior was in running

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,023 ✭✭✭✭Joe_ Public

Altior biggest price in running was just over 7/1 on exchange.

If there was ever a day for altior to be beaten it should of been today. ground against him ,half lame on monday and the race went completely against plan and he still won. A machine, sprintr sacre the second. Nicky henderson is the best man to win the big championship races and I dont mean the mares or a jlt / the ch,cc,gc.

i wasnt saying for definate but its just my opinion., he was popping them lovely

altior does hit the flat spot and paddy could have been away and gone

Is paddy not giving money back as free bet if favs win?

If this is some sort of dig at WPM then its pretty patethic, they are both geniuses and trying to diminish Mullins achievements shows a serious lack of class and quite frankly knowledge.
