Yet she had no problem having her eyebrows fone and not a sign of any facial hair

Easier to thread your face and eyebrows than it is your armpit in fairness.

I never said there was a link between unshaven armpits and poor hygiene.

The nicest couple tonight were Pat and Maureen, you have some nice family there Highlander and The Master.
Looking at the promo for next week, one of the dates looks like Pat O'Mahony that used to be a presenter on RTE .

EDIT - Just googled and it is him

"Makes her own soap that she doesn't wash with"

So where in there do you see the lack of hygiene mentioned?

I said she didn't wash with the soap.

Ah right, you weren't implying anything about hygiene at all. Of course.

You don't need to wash with soap to be hygienic. You seem to have picked up the completely wrong implication.

    Oh, clearly.

It's a pity your sarcasm is so misplaced.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the show nonetheless.

Is this fella of foreign ancestry or did he just bathe in Ronseal woodstain?

Harris (is that the name) reminds me of Hughie Maughan mixed with Tallafornia's Phil :p

First couple : who thought marty whelan was back on the scene eh!! nothing bad to see or say, nice really, both had spouses who died young so the lesson is, take every day folks!! that second couple was just unremarkable really, she was odd and then literally had a save me I'm scared and bored look on her face from when he asked her "What you doing for the next 17 days chum???" Also the whole summer in Turkey every year for eons??? yeah ok!!

That Afghan mcgregor soundalike and the self confessed BOGGER hater were just painful!! She loved the sound of her own voice and if you could get through the layers of slapstick any human outside the pale would run a mile, not a brain cell betwixt either of them! ha ha h whiskey makes me frisky and rum makes me.....pathetically single with a rhapsody like that.... very cringy date with conversation stoppers in the shape of frankie howard double entendres...predictable really.

I have to say that last couple should get stinker of the season!! Thomas moore paired with Kate bush!! both bat**** crazy and very annoying. Free will anyone? yes please a nightlink ticket for one!!, isn't mortality so over rated?? yours will be if you keep up the breathing!!
I've seen date rapists with more charm. She was as bad, she sounded like an 8 year old and was as audible as white noise!!! terrible date, you can see them judging everyone of us caught in the matrix!! in saying that, I'd like to see if the foliage is as wild as the oul undergrowth on er!!! uol eddie munster wasn't much better, Gillette has a hit out on both of them. next week we have an EX BOSCO presenter looking for love..FFS!

    Painful they were!!

2nd couple from Cork were really a non event , least remarkable date of the season . He was a nice guy but she just seemed really bored and almost tired . No conversations skills, no effort. You’d wonder why some people even go on First Dates ? Felt sorry for him but at least he was flying to Greece and Turkey next day !

Her armpit hair matches his neck hair. :)

Yeah I felt a bit bad for him, he seemed nice and could even tell by the way he was chatting to the bar man that he was a sound guy, his date seemed like she did not want to be there from the very start, maybe she just didn't fancy him.

Artsy couple at the end were very odd but seemed well matched, getting a bit of stick on this but don't think either seemed like bad or rude people anyway. Older couple were definitely the date of the show tonight.

Actually quite liked the hippy Trinity college pair - they were quite sweet and different- glad they met up again

The oompa loompa couple were a good match both wreck the bloody heads... vacuous, faux American idiots the pair of them.

The hippy dippy hairy couple were sweet I thought and really well matched.

If I remember correctly she was matched with a guy that she knew from before. She recognised him straight away but he pretended that he didn't know her. I thought he was a bit of prat and it was a car crash. She seemed like a nice lady and I wouldn't begrudge her a second shot.

She's obviously such an attention seeker though to go on TV twice doing this . Its not as if first dates tv is the best or only way to find a date, theres many more faster and more effective ways of getting a date :pac:

Thanks a million Liz, my head was wrecked trying to remember the name of that programme. Just wondering why he needs to go on FD, surely he meets lots of people in his line of work.
