Broncos have gotten themselves a bargain if Kelly works out. Mr Irrelevant but bags of talent. Seems like a lot of reports saying he is back to full health over the last 24 hours and seen working out with Phil Sims. Without all the issues he would have gotten drafted higher and probably would have gone at least as high as the 2nd round.

Video going around of Josh Allen hitting the crossbar with a pass from the 50yd line while on his knees

That gives shudders to any Ravens fan as pre-draft Kyle Boller was raved about for doing the same thing. And both had low accuracy in college.

    Picking Allen just scares me
“He’s got the big hands and all that — physically he looks like a big-time quarterback,”

Mel Kiper isn’t selling Allen to me here, is that even analysis

We live in hope. I've seen jns. Free places such commentary.

It will definitely make the tyre fire post-Manning worth it. Him as back up to Cousins... Mon.

How you guys rate Mahomes chances with the Chiefs?

    Stud or dud?

Praying to god he won't be a bust

I can't say either way, but personally feel it's a bit dangerous taking that good a qb out of that good of a tea for a guy with 35 career pass attempts.

Though the Chiefs have been really good these last few years at evaluating talent, so I think they deserve a bit of good faith on this one.

Andy Reid knows he has a good one or Alex Smith would still be there. I wasn't a real believer in his talent coming out of college but I think he will do well now after the Chiefs decided he will start for them next season.

    Thanks guys

He's certainly got all manner of toys at his disposal with Hunt, Hill and Kelce - going to be super fun watching his next season

Trade of Marcus Peters to the Rams in the final stage of talks according to Schefter. Hoped the 49ers would be in for him despite his issues but looks like he's going to a division rival

Jonathon Martin the ex-Miami Dolphin who was bullied by Richie Incognito and Mike Pouncey posted an extremely F'd up picture and message on Instagram which caused his former high school to close today.

He posted a picture of a shotgun and bullets with the message "When you’re a bully victim & a coward, your options are suicide or revenge", he put the location as his HS and tagged, Incognito, Pouncey and 2 of his former HS classmates. Apparently he was bullied in HS too.

UPDATE: He was taken into custody

It will be interesting to see what KC will get in return. The Rams don't have a second round pick in the draft. If KC get a first and something more it could be a good deal.

Rams have a lot of guys who will be looking to get paid pretty soon.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,332 ✭✭✭Always Be Closing

My best guess is we simply knew we had no chance of signing him long-term. If he was asking to be paid 16, 17, even 18+ million a year, and with Tyreek Hill needing a new contract at the same time, perhaps we decided Hill is the better long-term bet. We can't pay everyone, especially with our cap situation as it is.

Basically the question is: Peters for two years + a possible 3rd round pick in 2020 vs Whatever we got back in this trade today (looking like a 1st round pick)+ some cap flexibility.

He's also locker room trouble, as he was at Washington, he's a gambler in that he'll give up a lot to get the glory of a pick 6. I think he got thrown out of 2 games last season, certainly v Oakland and one other. Plus we suspended him for a game IIRC?

Fuller is less flashy but he's a better all round corner imo. Depending on the comp we POSSIBLY didn't get weaker yet this off season

Good post, I'd agree with almost everything you say but I'd disagree that Fuller is even close to as good as him. I think it's a good move by the Chiefs for cap room and the locker room too. First round pick is nice too.

You think we'll go for WR with the 1st round pick if we get it?

The Chiefs trading Marcus Peters is one of the worst decisions in the modern day NFL.

    Utter insanity.

I dont think its that made of a move, if the've no plans of extending him they might as well let him go when he has trade value. They obviously felt he was more trouble than he was worth

We need to go Defense heavy this draft, I wouldn’t even look at Offense, it looks pretty set to me now. Most likely grab a backup QB to Mahomea later in the draft, but that’s it on Offense I reckon. We pick and OLB or CB in the 1st round I reckon.

There are positives and negatives and it's not nearly as bad, at its worst, as you suggest. They might be a better team after this trade without even adding a new player.

We will throw the ball. Just not to our own players however.
