    I can cash out! Lol

Didn't see the race, how'd he shape?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,681 ✭✭✭BumperD

Ran well just tired. Was kept wide all the wide probably for better ground. You'd wonder if he can get back on track again after such a long layoff

While Mullins is a see you next Tuesday this is what he'd to say today re Up For Review

"Up For Review is a real chasing type who won a point-to-point, a bumper and three hurdle races. But he has had his problems and hasn't run since scoring at Perth in April 2016 when we were chasing Paul Nicholls for the trainers' championship. He's back in good form and his hurdle rating would give him a chance. However, in view of his long absence he'll probably find things tough enough."

I wouldn't give up on him yet (though I'm on NRNB anyhow)

The first ap bet, just a small ew L15 to wet the beak. The powder will be kept dry now until the week of Cheltenham.

    Road to respect 10/1 GC
    Cloudy Dream 16/1 Ryanair
    Paloma Blue 14/1 supreme
We have a Dream 8/1 triumph

Impossible to say. I like the fav Apples Shakira but Mullins now has three towards top of market, while Henderson has two.

It'll end up like an O'Brien maiden on the flat trying to figure out which is most forward. Probably not worth the headache until the day now.

His run the last day was too bad to be true. Something must have came to light afterwards.

Has anyone any strong thoughts on the Triumph actually?

Assume everyone is taking on the fav!

Farclas at 10s. Think the Spring Juvenile is the best form on offer and possibly by a fair margin. And I think Elliott's will over turn the form with Mullins' thing.

Esprit de Somoza could be one at a price. Out tomorrow at Taunton.

I still can't get my head around the Supreme. I'm on Mengli Khan at 20s and I think I'll stick with that. If Getabird wins at the price, I'm fine with it. Mengli Khan is a big big strong type, and think he'll love that hill whilst having a nice turn of foot. Not a given to turn around 9L with the fav but definitely don't think he was on a going day lto.

I like her. If you take the fact she's a sister to Apples Jade it kind of explains her running style - looks like she's outpaced but finds well for pressure.

Sadlier and Stormy Island could be anything but Apples Shakira looks made for a battle and I'd be surprised if there's anything quicker than her up the hill.

  • Registered Users Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

I like the look of Stormy Island myself.

I think its quite telling its only had that one run. My Motivator so should go on better ground.

I'll be honest though I've not looked at many!

Think I remember Mullins saying this is his best juvenile

Also feel like I heard Geraghty saying Apples Shakira was the most forward 4 year old he's ever sat on

But Geraghty isn't the most forward.

I'm reading the Betfair forum where they are asking what is Mark Winstanley ( aka the couch) doing these days.

He had a turn of phrase
"deffo livens up those cheltenham previews , when asked about the champion chase a few seasons ago the couch said "i wouldnt say its a bad race but they have seen money for the ambulance each way !" :pac:

The Couch brightened up many a Festival Preview evening with his jokes. A personal favourite was when he dismissed Irving's chances in the Supreme on the grounds that most of his form was on pancake flat tracks in Germany. "I blame Bomber Harris" was the throwaway line.

I remember the couch putting up Sanctuaire as a cert in one of the handicaps, the look of disgust on Nichols face!
