Just started Dark (late to the party). Most people on here said the one with subtitles is better.....where do u watch it? Just put on Netflix and it’s in English. Confused *♀️

I watched it with the dubbed English and thought it was fine.

But if want, you can change the language and watch it with subtitles.

I watched that when it was on BBC, was annoyed with the ending, if I recall correctly.

    Oh no..

I'll probably finish it tonight and I'll report back:)

Yeah myself and the missus ended up watching the first two episodes back to back and kind of got used to the dubbing so went ahead and watched the rest that way. Didn't spoil it for me anyways.

Finished watching Manhunt: Unabomber. No idea if it was intended by the filmmakers but Fitz is a wholly unlikeable character, along with everyone else portrayed in the FBI and all my sympathy lay with Ted. Despite knowing the ending and what he'd done I was still willing him on.

Not sure what to make of that. Seems quite deep and odd that Ted is the sympathetic character in an otherwise by the numbers docu drama. Maybe it was just me!

Might be the casting. I enjoyed it, but thought Worthington was a weak link, while obviously Bethany is an immense actor.

There's a button on the screen when you pause an episode to allow you select the language as well as the subtitles language. It's annoying that you have to do it each episode. Maybe there's a way to do it for the whole series but I couldn't find it.

I hate dubbing. The original actors put a lot of effort into their work, including their voice pitch/level etc. This can't be replicated in a sound room imo and always sounds silly to me. Native language with English subtitles for me everytime

I watched with English subtitles, I don't like stuff dubbed. But there is not too much dialogue in it, so it wouldn't be too bad I'd imagine.
It also helps that I understand a bit of German so I could drift away from the reading.

Inside Man is a must see film if you like smart thriller/heist films.

Accepted was recently discussed on a Cracked.com podcast about how if it was made today the premise (people who can't get into a university setup their own for-profit college) wouldn't be acceptable.

I thought it finished out grand, never would of guessed the outcome.

Overall not a bad little series.

Yeah, I can't actually remember what it was I didn't like about it? Maybe I'm thinking about something else.

Apologies if this has been mentioned already, I just saw Can't cope won't cope is up! I've ever seen it but know it's meant to be good enough!

I've been watching lovesick. Because they're short episodes it's a good one to watch on the phone in bed with headphones. Only problem is I woke the toddler by shaking laughing tonight.

Anyone watch it’s a bad day for the cut, about an Irish farmers who seeks revenge after his mother is killed in a home invasion. Just seen it now in the recently added section.

Didn't realise Damnation had been added. It sounded good when I read about it last year but it was cancelled after only one season so it obviously didn't rate too highly.

    The Cable Guy? Brilliant!

Watched Spring Breakers last night, what a movie! Have been meaning to watch it since it came out but never got around to it. It's completely surreal and I can't think many films I've seen that are similar to it. Won't be for everyone but highlights for me were James Franco's career best performance and the Britney Spears number, which is one of the best scenes I've seen in a movie in years.

Is Coach Snoop a reality show or a sitcom? I'm intrigued.

Got to watch The 75 last night. Very good documentary.

Dope is leaving on 4th Feb. Haven't gotten around to watching it myself yet. Has only been up 6 months. I'd been meaning to watch it anyway but the cinematography is by Rachel Morrison, who just became the first woman to be nominated for an Oscar in cinematography. Mudbound was so visually stunning I want to see all her work now.

Love and Mercy also leaving that day.

    Halfway through The Sinner
Excellent if a little weird at times!!!

    This thread is fantastic btw
I'd have misses a fair few without it
Keep up the good work :)

Dope the movie? Enjoyable enough if so

I couldn't stand Spring Breakers, like yourself it's one I just got around to recently, but the way it was edited together done my head in. Its like they were trying to extend the length of the movie.

The Sinner is excellent, I was very surprised by how good it was.

I guess Altered Carbon will be what I'll start next.
