That looks pretty interesting; I'm guessing Netflix are slowly ramping up the non-English, European productions. The success of Dark presumably greenlit more of that sort of stuff.

its co-created by Jannik Tai Mosholt, who was behind the series Borgen

Borgen was fantastic, will definitely be checking that out!

Are netflix actually producing these shows? I assumed the likes of Dark were just German productions they nabbed the rights to.

Dark is definitely a Netflix production. They're listed under producers and there is no TV station listed as airing it originally. Not sure about this new one.

It's not. They're talking about a show made by the same people.

Quite enjoyed A Futile and Stupid Gesture. The biopic of Doug Kenney, part founder of National Lampoon.

It's paints a fairly forgiving picture of him and moves at a meandering pace but makes for a nice film, and chuckles in places.

I watched this over the weekend and I enjoyed it. It's not without its faults, but I thought it captured the spirit of the time well (even if the wigs were objectively awful).

Finished watching Manhunt: Unabomber. No idea if it was intended by the filmmakers but Fitz is a wholly unlikeable character, along with everyone else portrayed in the FBI and all my sympathy lay with Ted. Despite knowing the ending and what he'd done I was still willing him on.

Not sure what to make of that. Seems quite deep and odd that Ted is the sympathetic character in an otherwise by the numbers docu drama. Maybe it was just me!

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

Good God did a lot of the stuff in Friends go over my young head, don't think I would have gotten 30% of what was happening.

Just finished "Outsiders", series about a family that shun modern society and live on a hill and their clash with a mining company.

Thought it was very good but hated the way it ended, it was set up as a cliffhanger finale but the show was cancelled.

Its Netflix alright, it's very 'Americanised' German as well, it's like the script was written in German, translated, corrected by an America and then translated back to German.....or so that's how it's been explained to me by a native German speaker.

Great show though, one of the best I've seen.

ManHunt - Unabomber was also excellent.

Has anybody watched Le Mante yet? I think that's the correct spelling, it's a French series which is getting really good reviews.

I watched it over the xmas holidays - I enjoyed it! it might be a little predictable at times but I think worth a watch!

It's decent, thought it got a bit silly towards the end but it's still worth a watch.

I watched that when it was on BBC, was annoyed with the ending, if I recall correctly.
