    You take that back!

I watched that Futile Gesture one and thought it was very good though maybe skirted over some of the issues in Kenney's life and didn't give them the full attention there should have been.

Watched it last night and enjoyed it. Made me want to watch the early Lampoon films again

Finally got around to watching Mudbound this evening. Phenomenal piece of work. I read the book a few years ago and this is one of the rare examples of the film being better than the book. It feels like an old fashioned "epic" but with all the fat trimmed. Rachel Morrison is definitely deserving of her Oscar nomination.

Brooklyn 99 is honestly one of the best comedies IMO. I love the good place too, but it's a bit silly. I watch it but my husband hates it. I just started Lovesick on TME's suggestion and I'm really enjoying it. The characters are really easy to like.

Oh a good one was Love Nina. A bit quirky, Helena B Carter is in it, about a nanny and her life with the family. Well worth a watch, not laugh out loud funny by any means but one that really stood out for me.
'Love, Nina' is brilliant! Thank you for the recommendation. I watched all of it last night. Will have to give Brooklyn 99 another go. I've seen a few episodes and thought it was ok, but a bit lightweight.

Berlin Syndrome is a decent thriller. It can be quite silly, but it is full of tension and gets your blood boiling.

They were telling the history of Volkswagen and Hitler's involvement is a key part of that history, not sure what the problem is?

Halfway through season 3 of Fargo. Up there with the other 2 so far. Consistently brilliant since episode 1 though a slight lull in season 2 maybe.

I agree just finished Season 3 and that was a step up from Season 2 great performance from Ewen McGregor Carrie Coon and David Twelis, I hate that we have to wait now until 2019 for Season 4!

The books stand by themselves.A great sci-fi read.

Hopefully the series can step up and do better and only then can people ask if the TV is better than the pen.

    Looking forward to it.

Yeah running down Hitler is total virtue signalling.

Glow is a suprisingly good show as I was a wee bit skeptical going in although it looked good from the trailers and it has Alison Brie who seems to turn up in a lot of shows I like. Probably one of their funniest and smartest originals to date along with Grace and Frankie and Bojack.

Googled the red headed girl who plays Ronda (out of sheer curiosity of course) and find out its that singer Kate Nash who had a big hit about 10 years back with that song Foundation...never would of realized.

    :D

Yeah I enjoyed it too. I also googled her and was surprised when I realised who she was and that her accent isn't fake!

this may have been asked numerous times on boards but I can't find an answer anywhere....

when will Netflix Ireland have Peaky Blinders Season 4?

Also, just watched UnaBomber... very addictive. Moved on to Black Mirror and really like some of the new episodes.

Quite enjoyed A Futile and Stupid Gesture. The biopic of Doug Kenney, part founder of National Lampoon.

It's paints a fairly forgiving picture of him and moves at a meandering pace but makes for a nice film, and chuckles in places.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

Just finished watching La Mante, a french crime/psychological thriller series about a series of copycat murders from a serial killer in Paris, only 6 episodes long but thought it was great, one of those shows you can't stop watching.. Plenty goes on to keep you guessing! Since having watched 'Dark', shows with subtitles don't seem to bother me anymore.

Watched the first episode of Bordertown (Finnish show) last night, anyone able to say whether it is worth continuing with?

Line of Duty is a great show. It's compelling and has some great characters. Pity season 4 isn't on Netflix yet, though.

Dirty Money is a very good watch.

Couldn't help but laugh at the crocodile tears in the second episode.

It really doesn't paint Tucker in a good light and he's convinced he's done nothing wrong.

Looks like he deserves the 16 years in prison.

And Mr Tucker did some time in the 90’s for some ‘bank fraud’, no smoke without fire. The amount of stuff that comes up about him on google and YouTube is unreal too. Karma!

Yep. Himself and the wife going on about their plight - how they've no cash etc. They don't get the irony of it.

Burst out laughing too when it was revealed that he hired that woman to interview him after the race.

I loved how they gradually expanded the characters of Luke and Angus, it's really an ensemble comedy at this stage.
