brolly is right on this one. your not allowed to critisize harte in tyrone. too many people afraid of the cult leader and anyone who voices their opinion against him is treated like a pariah.

Brolly isn't right at all. Brolly is nothing short of an RTE shill, sucking on the teat that feeds him. He's a disgrace to the sport.

The only reason Brolly is speaking in that manner is because he hates Tyrone. It wouldn't have matter had they removed Harte, he'd have said something just as ignorant. He's a prick and he and all his RTE chums love nothing more than having a cut at Tyrone. **** him and **** the sunday game

You're the only Tyrone man i know who had criticised this decision. There are reservations to an extent but there's nothing like what you spout on a consistent level in this thread.

And I say this as someone with a good lot of friends from Coalisland, Ardboe, Aughnacloy, Dungannon, Moy...

Now while I accept that my friends are not everyone can you tell me what you would prefer? You know, outside of "Not Mickey"?

Brolly was one of the biggest fans of Tyrone back in their pomp Jayop so what has changed in recent years? I'm not saying you're wrong, all I'm saying is that it's equally possible that Brolly is just an attention seeker who doesn't care that he isn't consistent in his message as long as he's stirring the pot somewhere and getting attention. I'm not sure it's a personal thing so just asking why you think he now hates you when he loved you before.

Was he one of our biggest fans? I absolutely dispute that statement. He might have said a few things through gritted teeth but any time he and his other Rte crew got the chance to stick the boot in they did.

Ah I think you're letting your own view of Brolly colour your thinking Jayop. I can certainly remember him being a champion for the Tyrone team of the noughties and defending them regularly. Sure there are times when he has a go at them or certain people in the Tyrone camp but as I said, I think that's just for attention, not because he has any anti Tyrone agenda. Have a read of this and tell me does that sound like a man who hates Tyrone? People in Kerry say Brolly hates Kerry as well - funny that he can hate all these great counties and still claim to love football eh! Don't take it personally!

Personally? Where have I taken it personally. Read some of the anti Tyrone agenda things he's said and tell me that's a balanced view. Sure you can post something positive he's said. Like every lickspittle he's the brains to temper his overwhelming negative comments with the odd positive one for just this type of scenario. <MOD Snip>

I think his point was that Brolly loves attention far more than he hates any County. He'll stick the boot into anyone and then change his tune as the need arises.

He made his point badly then.

Fair enough, I can live with that! Thanks for summarising my point so that Jayop could understand it Parlance.

With a bit of time since the Semi and appointment, I would take the view that it's a fairly safe and decent move by Tyrone.

Systems can change and Harte has done so before. I'm sure he will have recognised that it'll need a different approach. That's not going to happen overnight. I think the 3 years indicate that there's going to be a new approach.

It would be good from a Tyrone point of view to see some plan for his heir... maybe a new face or two in the backroom team that can be readied to take over.

there wont be any new faces cause mickey is a control freak. the only new faces could be more of his family members and friends gettin a few jobs like carrying water and ****e like that. sure doesnt marke harte take the team for shootin practice. they are like the mafia, nobody else can get a look in.

And who would you propose to take over?

I see Ricey has taken a position in the Fermanagh set up with Gallagher. Not sure yet what his role will be.

Another year and another McKenna cup final. Tyrone seem to have been playing a near championship team again this year and look in pretty good form albeit against sides that have played a lot of fringe players. Should be in good fettle for the league at least and it would be nice to have a crack at Dublin in a final before the summer starts to get a view on where we are by then.

Hopes and dreams for this year? Our first ever three in a row in Ulster and progression in the championship. Super 8 this year so if we win Ulster we will likely be in the same mini league as Dublin and as such we can't meet then in a semi final regardless of coming second or first. A few big games against Dublin and the others with slightly less pressure could be just what we need to get over the big game nerves that have cost us a few times of late. A great chance of getting to another AI semi final and I'd love to get through to the final.

The Maxi Curran role of running into th pitch if last week was anything to go by.

He's the ideal man for the job. Had a few ventures on in our game too by all accounts but I wasn't brave enough to head to that game with the weather.

How will Tyrone do against Warwickshire in the NHL at the weekend? Is Liam Watson turning out for Warwickshire?

I was for going down (its only a short spin for me) but I'm dying from a bad cold and standing out in that weather won't help matters. Will be listening on either ttm or a galway station.

Delighted for Moy yesterday. Wasn't a great watch but the bitterness from the Kerry folk on Twitter makes it all worthwhile. Good to see the southern media still can't be bothered to spell Cavanagh with a C. It's a weird thing that people insist on spelling names wrong as some petty dig.

Gas video on the big screen last night at HT in Croker. It was showing "Footballers to watch in 2018"; some Galway under-21, Con O'Callaghan, Daniel Flynn of Kildare, that lank Clifford from that shower in the SW and... the one and only young Colm Cavanagh. Madness!

Did it show a young lad from Sligo? There's a young lad Red Og Murphy that's as good a minor as I've seen.

I can find no report of Sunday's hurling match with Warwickshire. Who playedcwell for each side? Was Liam Watson playing for Warwickshire? There's no mention of him in the scanty reports I've seen. He was their star last year.

He'll be like a bear with a sore arse now though. Takes him two weeks to recover from a loss.

He's missed alright I was going to post something similar last night.

Couldn’t believe the amount of so called ‘experts’ blindly backing Tyrone.

They are exceptionally fit and have a manager who can typically set them up well enough to be competitive. Outside of that they are not realistic contenders for the All Ireland. The reality is they haven’t been for quite some time.
