You're getting worse!! I'm originally from about 2 miles from Coalisland and 4 miles from dungannon!!

Put them back on their arses for another five years or so. Not even a good performance and still hammered them. Happy days.

It was an excellent performance. Very fast hands , three goals looking fast, fit and dangerous.

It will be a great game, just don't wind yourself up talking pony about your opinions on Dublin getting handy frees, Cooper Diving and everyone hating Tyrone. You sound beaten already!

This could be the game of the year. You should open the match thread on it and be nice, win people over ;)

Poor Jayop cant help channeling his inherent Tyrone scorpiness on days like this. :D

Tyrone buried their chances today, dublin fluffed theirs (yet again) that could be a big difference in the semis

Lads I even get stick from the other Tyrone poster here. I honestly couldn't give a flying what people think of me. I'll call it as I see it. You go to Dublin to play Dublin or Kerry then you want a 5 point margin for a one point win. It is what it is. I still think Tyrone will give Dublin their fill in the semi and I'll say it now, the winner of the all Ireland comes from that game.

I'd agree, I think Tyrone are nearly built from scratch to beat dublin and if they they do a number on them I'd fancy them to go all the way

    Serious question

Now that the following phrase is redundant in 2017:
Armagh 4 Apples; Tyrone 4 SAM
What is the equivalent for Dublin?

    Dublin4Athletes/Financial Doping

    Something like that...

Still Mayo4Sambos is the best of the lot

I'm decidedly a West Cork man these days. Warmer welcome for Dubs in August. :)

The Ardboe and Moy scuts have been very quiet this week. A little too quiet.

Ah it all starts today really. Yesterday was for digesting the last game, this week will be all about build up to the two other games. I'm kinda glad there's a replay on Sunday and the whole circus isn't focused on Tyrone/Dublin although I likely will read every single printed word in the build up to the game.

I can't wait for Darragh's insight on Wednesday.

Did ya hear Joe Mac on OTB earlier?

Yeah radio cut off in the car on the way back to the office, but I got the full podcast there. Good stuff actually. Nice to hear a Dub admit that the pick up in 95 was perfect ;)

Enjoyed this article from Cahir O'kane in the Irish News.

    http://www.irishnews.com/sport/gaafootball/2017/08/22/news/the-ref-and-the-rain-hold-the-key-for-tyrone-1116756/

Basically saying we need two big things out of our control to be on our sides to beat Dublin as well as playing very well ourselves and he's not far wrong. They're tied in together too.

    1) The referee. Like myself he says Gough would have suited Tyrone a lot more for this game given he's much more reliable as to what he's going to give as a free across the whole 70 minutes. Our tackling has been excellent this year, maybe the best I've ever seen and our freecount has been tiny. Against Donegal this year we only conceded 8 free's the whole game, and with Rock and Cluxton for Dublin you need to keep that free count very low. Likewise I think Dublin will be very cynical about where they foul Tyrone. Anywhere outside the 40 is a free foul for them as we'll not be kicking them over from that range. Gough was very good at the start of the league game before he decided Dublin needed some help and sent Bradley off and gave them some crazy frees. Happy enough with Goldrick. If he can run the game the way he ran the Down Monaghan game, allowing for good physical challenges then we have a chance. If he's very fussy then we're beat before we go out.

    2) The weather. This ties into the ref a lot because hopefully if it's teeming rain he'll allow for that in the tackle. It's also going to effect the Dublin attack more than ours. Dublin also don't tend to score as heavily in very bad rain (Monaghan this year aside) so if that and our tackling/turnovers restricts them to 15/16 points then we have a chance.

Of course as it stands now it's actually giving for a fine day on Sunday so we'll have to hope our prayers are answered.

Either do the opposition though, Kerry Dublin 2015 Brogan and Gooch couldn't score at all

I don't see it suiting Tyrone anymore than Dublin.

If something dulls your attack by 40% then that's a lot more than dulling ours by 40 and therefore we'd have a narrower margin to overcome.

We also don't attack in quite the same way you do. I'd love to know what the average pass per shot ratio is from you win the ball to kicking a score attempt. I'd imagine that it's a lot higher than what ours is. Tyrone tend to turn the ball over Maybe take 1 kickpass, 2 handpasses and attempt to shoot. This craic we were doing of going over and back across the 40 is gone.

Bad weather will always suit the more defensive team imo.

Total neutral here. Just popped in to say that I think that ye will win tomorrow. It is exactly the type of game that Mickey Harte has specialised in masterminding over the last decade and a half.

I hope to God you're right. I'm not overly confident about it but we'll give it a good rattle.
