Hi lads, quick question. Handiest place to park in Killarney for this Sundays match? Coming from Dublin and heading back there after the game so want a quick escape if possible.

Will you be travelling via Limerick and down by CastleIsland or via the M8 in from the Cork direction?

Park up on the killarney by pass road. Just leave the car facing whatever way you're heading back.

Down the M7 toward limerick if that makes sense. Have got train to the last few games in Tralee.

When you come onto the bypass from that side, there's another roundabout about 1km away, drive to it and swing around. Park on that side of the road so you're facing back in the Limerick direction.

You'll be a 5 minute walk from the stadium parking there.

This might not work but best I can do on a phone lol.

The red X is the Limerick side you'll be coming from, the blue X is the other roundabout. Fitzgerald stadium is pin pointed and the n22 is the road you'll be driving.

Loads of talk about it in Donegal too.

Question for those in the know - what time does the stand below in killarney get full at? Wouldn’t be a great man for getting in early but in company so will want a seat.

Only wossies sit in the stadium in Kerry. The real GAA man (kids, wife and all) watch it from the Terrace opposite the stand. Unless it is milling there will be more on the Terrace than the stand in Killarney

stand holds about 7,000, cant see it being full especially if the weather is ok as people will go on the terrace.

Yes.

I only know this because the Fossa club said it on Facebook in a good luck message to David.

A win is a win. Bit of bottle from the young lads.

Clifford whipped off soon after the half. Poor shooting but physically looks grand.

James O came on and straight off within 2 minutes injured.

Seanie Shea and Paul Murphy seriously impressive.

Daithi Casey was brilliant as a sub kicking the winning point (2 hops though I swear).

Defence is ****e and very little cover. Coffey was bullied a bit. Shanahan was good as well. Enright struggled on the brilliant McBrearty.

What is our problem with defence? It's just baffling. This has been persisting for years, no cover and being cut right open, yet little seems to be done about it.

Great game and really enjoyed seeing so many young players from both counties.

Disappointed not to come away with something but sure.

Think Clifford did fine. Just left the shooting boots at home. Won his fair share and set up about 3/4 scoring chances iirc. Also took a big hit off McBrearty, bounced up, McBrearty tripped him, bounced back up again and he had one final nibble with a push and he didn't let it bother him.

Speaking of McBrearty. He was a joy to watch today. That one handed catch in midfield, run and finish with a great point. Also the free kick from about 60 metres out was fantastic shooting.

Nice to start off with a win.

Paul Murphy is a sight to behold.
He covered every blade of grass today. Small man, huge heart. Massive skill level.
Kerry’s most influential player since 2014.

David Clifford is going to have a big say this year. Croke Park is his playground in July/August.

Going by todays performance there is serious depth of talent there and they showed huge determination to come from four points down to battle over the line. Mayo are there for the taking next Saturday going on todays performance. Kerry will grow into a serious squad and will have the beating of Dublin come the summer if we play with a neutral referee who is not paid off in Dublin's favour.

Seems Kerry just got caught by a Donegal team who were quite good at breaking via long ball - we lacked a bit of physical presence at the back and I think that played a part

Murphy & McBrearty were standout, great to see O'Shea given a chance, great long distance free with pressure on late into the game, boomed it over. Crowley was good, half back though not centre, Burns worked hard, Def an upgrade on Mikey Geaney I'd say, Clifford has great hands, worked well with BJK at times, Casey did very well, laid off some lovely ball and took the point well - don't think it was a double hop, think he hopped, lost control and bounced it back up rather than hop, control then hop again.

The Kerry Defense during the Munster final was very poor. If cork had been a bit more clinical it might have been a different story.

Wouldn’t be getting too excited. We conceded 3-14 to fourteen men and have a major issue to sort at the back. Donegal also wiped us out around the middle from their own kickouts.

Definitely some positives too, Sean O’Shea was great, Burns, Crowley and Murphy did well and we battled back well when it looked like we were beaten. O’Brien was good as well, albeit as the spare man after the sending off.

Lots to work out but some very encouraging signs from some of the youngsters.It’s a good time to play Mayo next wknd as they are slow starters usually. A win up there would be a massive boost to the young panel but it’ll be a big ask.
