Got all cormac tags here this year, I'm already liking the bvd sampler, no need to clip onto an annoying capsule like with the mullinahone ones.

Drawback of my switch to spring, cows bulling as fresh ones come in to group. A lot of rain again last night.

Not a one, slurry here and there in some places but fields quiet all the time. No word from slurry contractor normally he'd be on to us at some stage in Jan but I'd say he's putting out bits and pieces further north, the last spring that was like this he said he was going to lads and just dropping enough for a few weeks so really slowed him down

6 lights in pairs on rafters one, about 15 feet over pit they are over wall of pit on each side so no real shadow, have 2 clear sheets in roof as well. 14 unit parlour

6 lights in the 12 unit here.
Welded rebar over the parlour stall work and hung lights off then

Same except 5 12 ft long clear sheets in the parlour, and they are a godsend, only turn on lights for 4 months of the year.

My problem is to position vac pump exhaust on an outside wall as nearest wall is facing dwelling house and dont want it there.alternative is exhaust into shed beside parlour kind of beside cows exiting basically covered yard where the crush is.

If you could combine oil collection with some sort of muffler system on the house side, would it not do?
Maybe it's just the aesthetics of the thing?

Mine is not ideal but I have a plastic drum outside the wall to collect the oil and a heavy stone placed on top. It could be a fire hazard but it's outside the wall.
Reason I used it is the plastic absorbs the noise vibrations. So it took a lot of the noise out of it and the heavy stone stops it behaving like a real "drum".

Some put sand in the drum to deaden the sound

    Lol.
An old fella said to me years ago that bale wrap was as hard to burn as babies nappies.
Doesn’t it go for recycling? Does here anyhow, and the net must be separate from the wrap. Pita.

Most them bring centres are active for the summer, I was only thinking the other day it would make a hell of alot more sense to have them now, especially for dairy farms, many of who have fed the most of their bales by now, but want rid of the plastic before calving season.

You can bring it direct yourself to Eamon Nolan in Gowran afaik.
Or the farm relief in tinahealy will take it too anytime.

Usually a collection centre set up in your area at different times of the year or if you have enough a truck will come with a grab to pick it up

Can bring the mesh to recycle centers also, lob it all into an old lime ton bag.

You said before you leave the calf on cows for a while, just wondering why you'd need a barrow?

It’s gonna turn into an expensive game now as China have stopped taking plastic waste...
