What difference does it make if a parent works? You did. But then you had your wife to make the sacrifice, you just carried on as normal.

Because that's exactly who McGaggs was talking about?

I would agree with the notion that children should be raised by their parents, but who can afford that now?

And I was making the point that anyone can afford to do that now, and they always could. It's simply a matter of their own priorities, and that's why I said that I don't have any issue with anyone for what lifestyle choices they make, but when I hear anyone complain that they have to work to pay for childcare... they don't! They may have to work to make the payments on a mortgage, but that's not what we were talking about. We were talking about parents ability to raise their own children.

My wife has never thought she made any sacrifices to stay at home and raise our child, we were both glad we were able to afford to do that. That was a lifestyle choice that we made, and now that we are separated, I'm still raising our child, and I'm still working, and I've never once complained that I had to work to pay for childcare, and I've never complained that I had to work instead of being able to stay at home to raise my child either.

I chose to work, while my wife chose to stay at home to raise our child, and neither of us felt we had to make any sacrifices, just lifestyle choices.

Jesus literally never mentioned this or anything even remotely relevant to it, implying that he just doesn't give a bollocks. If he doesn't, we don't have to either.

As it's getting a little bit confusing with all these posts I just post a link to an overview of what sexual relationships and marriages are allowed in the Bible:

There is the old testament and the new Testament. Why do you think it is called the New testament? When Christ came, all things were made new. In other words, what you must pay attention to is the new testament. Christ said " Man must leave his father and mother, and be joined with his wife." They must become one body ie in the act of sexual union. So, one man with one woman. An inseparable union, save for the case of adultery by either partner.

So why mention Onan then as he's from the OT? Do you have a NT source against masterbation?

The Church that Christ founded forbids it.

    Have faith and believe.

People have had faith for 1
    2000 yrs

That's what faith is. Remember even Jesus himself does not know when the Christ will return.

But everything points to the present time. There is general mayhem, people do not fear God, and do as they wish. They commit sodomy, and feel no shame. The big crush the weak.
Humble people are far and few. The Church He founded is mired in the mud. Only a few loyal souls.

You do no know when He will come. Whether the first or second watch. Be always on your guard. . He will come suddenly in order to catch the evildoers, so they shall not escape, but feel the full strength of His wrath.

Remember it's the first or second watch. Not the tenth watch.

But wasn't there the same mayhem, worse even, in say 1941 at the height of the war? Why didn't he appear then?

How do you know which watch?

There will be very serious conflict before the end.

The words first or second indicate imminence.

What I really love about this thread is that we have had sex, cum, anal sex, threesomes, wasting sacred cum, religious scripture, parenting advice, NWO conspiracies, financial advice, swallowing cum all mentioned several times on a thread started in the Christianity forum, I never thought I would see the day it would all be in one thread!!!

And does anyone else think the OP's name sounds a bit Father Ted-Ish...

    Father Oweny Baloney!?

    Hopefully not prematurely, anyway.

Why does he have to come suddenly to catch evildoers when he already knows who they are?

The church you suppose he founded mired itself in the mud... would be a more accurate way of putting it.

Doesn't the sacred sperm idea find its justification in the OT? Anyway, we don't have to heed what the OT or NT says because..

The Church that Christ founded forbids it.

Pay no attention at all to the OT or the NT.

Pay attention only to the church which says that it has the authority to decide that the NT says that it has the authority to decide what the NT says.

Christ gave full authority to His Church.

He hopes that they will yet repent.

They can't repent when they don't' believe in him,

It's like Thor hoping people will repent, its meaningless to those that don't think Thor is real Of course we all know the lord Thor is real and thats why he has his own special day.

That's right. And that's why they will never enter the Kingdom of God.

Got snipped by a very competent surgeon.

If God Jesus and the rest of them didn't agree with it then why does the surgeon exist?

Getting "snipped" as you call it, is a grievous sin.

Unfortunately, if you don't enter God's Kingdom, you enter the place where you abandon all hope.
